The new RS e-tron GT Performance buzzes with an incredible 912 horsepower (last year’s maximum was a still-awesome 637 hp), zipping from zero to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds with launch control. This statistic makes the RS e-tron GT Performance the fastest-accelerating production Audi yet.
Sure, the Tesla Model S Plaid is claiming 1.99 seconds, the Lucid Air Sapphire claims 1.89 seconds, and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT (which isn’t turbocharged) posts 2.2 seconds. But those rivals break the 1,000-hp barrier. Anyway, during this kind of acceleration, as our human senses try to catch up with our mega-powered electric cars, a few tenths here and there are more academic than anything else.
A new push-to-pass function at speeds above 19 mph gives a 94-hp boost for up to 10 seconds (for that total of 912 hp), and Dynamic drive mode is selected automatically. After 10 seconds of recuperation, this function is ready to go again.
On the subject of modes, the RS e-tron GT Performance gains a new RS Performance setting calibrated especially for twisting roads and challenging tracks, optimizing power delivery and suspension. The car also has driver-configurable RS1 and RS2 modes. Rear-wheel steering is standard, enhancing agility and maneuverability.
<a href="https://www.kbb.com/reviews/2025-audi-rs-e-tron-gt-performance-first-drive/">We’ve driven the new RS e-tron GT Performance </a>on the road and the track. Trackside, we discovered that Audi’s official claim of 2.4 seconds to 60 mph is conservative. We’d say 2.1 or 2.2 is well within the realms of possibility. The car also keeps its composure through fast corners. On regular roads, we found the RS e-tron GT Performance has a civilized side. Select Comfort mode, and this car can easily make good on its grand touring promise. Just keep an eye on the speedometer, because this near-silent rocket takes hardly any time to reach (and exceed) speed limits.
Range and Charging
The 2025 RS e-tron GT Performance has a maximum range of 278 miles. For reference, the EPA rated last year’s RS e-tron GT at 249 miles.
Using a DC fast charger, quicker battery replenishment is also possible, going from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes. Last year’s 21.5 minutes was hardly the slowest in the class, but we’re always pleased to get back on the road as soon as possible. Incidentally, the RS e-tron GT Performance is built at a carbon-neutral facility.

Stunning Exterior

We might as well come straight out and say we like the looks of the RS e-tron GT Performance. A lot. This Audi is a low-slung, sleek sedan that looks ready to slice through the air with a flex of the right foot. In our opinion, the company’s design approach works so well here. The differences between this and the somewhat dialed-down S e-tron GT center on details like the air intakes.
A roof of forged carbon (as opposed to the more common woven carbon fiber) is available exclusively with the RS e-tron GT Performance. When selecting this optional package, forged carbon is also deployed on the bumpers, side sills, side mirrors, and rear diffuser. Special dark-finished RS-design 21-inch alloy wheels are included as well.
Arkona White is the only no-cost color &#8212; the rest go for $595. That’s unlikely to be a big deal for someone spending nearly $170,000 on their new RS e-tron GT Performance. Sizewise, the RS e-tron GT Performance is similar to its Porsche Taycan cousin.

All the usual Audi hallmarks are here, such as high-class materials (fine Nappa leather upholstery is standard), elegant designs, and exemplary build quality. Many sporty cars have flat-bottomed steering wheels &#8212; there’s one here with a flattened top as well. Paying homage to the 1994 Audi Avant RS 2 (a collaboration with Porsche), the 12.3-inch digital driver information display has a white speedometer and power meter.
We’d call the RS e-tron GT Performance a 4-seater, because few people will want to sit in that little center spot in the back. And with rear legroom measuring just 32.2 inches, while the sleek roof impacts rear headroom, this is not the most accommodating luxury sedan. That’s not the point of this car, however.

The all-new 2025 Audi S5 is a compact luxury car with an emphasis on sportiness.

Giving free rein to all 362 horses, the S5 will gallop from standstill to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, 0.2 of a second quicker than the outgoing S5 Sportback. For comparison, the BMW 440i xDrive Gran Coupe has 386 hp yet hits 60 mph a tenth after the S5, while the Mercedes-AMG C 43 brings 416 hp to the race and crosses the line at exactly the same time as the Audi.
The S5 also comes with a sport-tuned suspension as standard, while offering the option of an adaptive air suspension that has greater differences between its Comfort, Dynamic and Balanced modes than the outgoing S5 Sportback’s. Dynamic is firmer. Comfort is smoother.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
Owners of a new S5 can expect to achieve 22 mpg in combined city/highway driving. The BMW M440i xDrive tops this little table by returning 27 mpg combined, while the C 43 matches the new S5.

Smart Exterior

The clever thing about the new S5 and its regular A5 stablemate is how the 4-door hatchback body brings great practicality, yet it’s disguised by a sleek profile. Audi has given both cars a visual punch, while the S5 gains a few more aerodynamic additions compared with the A5.
The standard alloy wheel size is 19 inches, with 20-inch wheels offered as an option.

All-wheel drive 
It’s a common feature and comes as standard on the new S5. But that doesn’t mean we should take it for granted, because it provides great grip and traction.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
The top version of two superb B&amp;O setups available is a surround-sound system with 810 watts going through 20 speakers, four of which are in the headrests of the front seats.
Navigation prompts 
Admittedly, we’ve all heard that disembodied voice telling us to turn right in 700 feet (or whatever). The clever thing here is that such prompts can come through the new S5’s aforementioned driver-side headrest speakers, so as not to disturb any other occupants.
Audi Advanced Key 
The S5 senses the presence of the Advanced Key, allowing drivers to open the door (or tailgate) without having to get the fob out of a pocket or purse. This might seem like a small thing, but we’ve often found little details make life easier.
Powered tailgate 
Another detail to make life easier, this is standard in every new S5.
Matrix-design LED headlights 
As well as offering a distinctive lighting signature, these standard items provide great illumination.

Multi-Faceted Interior

We’ve always been happy to sit in Audi seats, appreciating their combination of cushioning and support. In S models, those seats gain more bolstering to keep occupants in place whenever conditions conspire for a bout of spirited cornering. And you just know the new S5 will be doing plenty of that.
OLED displays form the new Digital Stage that Audi installs in its A5 and S5 cars. Driver information is provided by an 11.9-inch instrument cluster, a central 14.5-inch touchscreen handles infotainment duties, and there’s an optional extra 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger.
For those times when the S5 has to carry more than two adults, 36.1 inches of rear legroom should be enough to quell most gripes about passenger space. The outgoing S5 already had a slight edge over the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe in this respect, now there’s an extra inch.
This latest S5 also has a massive 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (1.6 more than before), expanding to 37 cubic feet with those seats folded. To compare, the 4 Series Gran Coupe goes from 16.6 to 45.5 cubic feet.

This is the new 2025 Audi S5. Not the old 2025 Audi S5 Sportback. We thought we would clear this up straight away. It turns out that the 2025 model year is particularly special because it plays host to the outgoing S5 Sportback while ringing in the all-new S5, which also has the same sleek hatchback style, but there’s no mention of Sportback in the name.
As any <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/">Audi</a> aficionado will know, the S5 is the hotter version of the A5 luxury compact car. And as any frequent reader of our reviews will know, we love Audi’s S cars. Not just for the extra power, but also for the higher equipment levels and sportier poise to their suspensions. It’s the whole package that we find so satisfying. This fresh S5 is set to fill the big shoes (tires?) of its predecessor and even push the bar higher.

Premium Plus trim tends to be a popular choice among S5 buyers. Rivals include the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/4-series/">BMW 4 Series</a> Gran Coupe, specifically the M440i xDrive, and the sedan-only <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-amg-c-class/">Mercedes-AMG C</a> 43, both starting a little higher than this Audi. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/acura/tlx/">Acura TLX</a> Type S sedan undercuts all three German contenders, but doesn’t have the power to match.

Engine & Transmission

The new S5 employs a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 making 362 hp and 406 lb-ft. This goes to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission. For reference, the previous S5 came with 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, and we never thought that model was even a little underpowered.

<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Audi’s new-vehicle and powertrain warranties last four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. This is typical among European luxury car makers. Audi also includes four years of roadside assistance.

The new S5 comes with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard, along with several other driver assistance features.

The incoming 2025 S5 is built on a new platform enabling greater interior space, technology takes a step up, while the V6 engine generates more muscle. This car also replaces the erstwhile S4 sedan.

The all-electric 2025 Genesis Electrified G80 is a fine midsize luxury sedan and has a maximum range of 282 miles.

Two electric motors, all-wheel drive, and a meaty 365 horsepower work together to propel the Electrified G80 from a standstill to 60 mph in a rapid 4.1 seconds. Of course, it does this in near silence, so the sensation of speed is a little subdued. Our point, though, is that the Electrified G80 can be quick enough for decisive moves. It’s also superbly comfortable and stable, which is exactly what a luxury car needs to be. We even like the feel of the steering and brakes. There’s nothing here that needs getting used to &#8212; it’s all easy to take in and appreciate.
For comparison, the BMW i5 eDrive40 (with just one motor and rear-wheel drive) makes do with 335 hp and is almost two seconds slower to reach 60 mph.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The maximum range covered by the Electrified G80 is 282 miles. That’s kind of OK, but the most affordable BMW i5 can do 295 miles, and the Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan will cover 308 miles. The Tesla Model S and Lucid Air can go even further at a price &#8212; the least expensive Model S is still capable of 410 miles, while the base Lucid Air Pure is rated at 420 miles. That said, we still never felt anxious about range when we drove the Electrified G80.
Using a DC fast charger, the battery goes from 10% capacity to 80% in about 22 minutes. That’s pretty much the same as most rivals, with only the Lucid Air turning in a noticeably faster time.

Appropriate Exterior

There’s a Russian doll element to the styling of Genesis sedans, with many design cues repeated in different sizes. However, the basic look is, to our eyes, perfect for the class &#8212; upscale and arguably handsome. It doesn’t emphasize its electric credentials. A keen observer will notice that the grille differs from the gasoline-powered G80 (<a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/g80/">which we review separately</a>) but not much else. This car is a midsize luxury sedan, so its dimensions are similar to electric versions of the BMW 5 Series (i5) and Mercedes-Benz E-Class (EQE).

One-pedal driving 
Paddles behind the steering wheel enable different levels of brake regeneration. At its highest, the brakes start working as soon as the driver lifts off the accelerator. The car can be driven using just this one pedal most of the time, especially in the stop-and-go of city traffic, hitting the brakes only when a firmer stop is necessary. It’s easy to get used to and easy to miss when it’s not there.
Highway Driving Assist 
It’s not a hands-free system, but this standard feature&#8217;s steering assistance helps lighten the load on freeway stretches, especially when used in tandem with adaptive cruise control. We’ve noticed that all the driver assistance features Genesis offers work particularly well.
Lexicon audio 
Go into any top-class recording studio anywhere in the world, and Lexicon equipment will probably be used. This standard 21-speaker, 1,050-watt surround-sound system in the Electrified G80 makes it seem like you’re back in that studio again.
Remote Smart Parking Assist 
Drivers can inch the Electrified G80 into or out of a parking space while standing outside and pressing a button on the key fob. This is clever stuff, and it&#8217;s part of the optional Prestige package.
Blind Spot View Monitor 
A part of the Prestige package’s inventory goes beyond the usual “red triangle in the side mirror” blind-spot monitoring and shows real-time video in the digital driver information display. We’ve experienced this in many Genesis vehicles and think it’s a great innovation.
Solar roof 
This optional roof-mounted panel of photovoltaic material can (according to Genesis) add about 700 miles of range a year.

Plush Interior

Just like each German luxury manufacturer has its own particular approach to interior design, so does Genesis and it tends to go for the plusher side of things. The Electrified G80 has more than its fair share of fine leather, juxtaposed by cool technology with a generously sized 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen whose graphics are just as sharp as the leather is soft.
Fitting an electric vehicle’s battery into a car designed originally for a combustion engine has affected rear passenger space and the trunk area, compared with the regular G80. It loses about two inches of headroom and three inches of legroom, so check at the dealership if 36.6 inches and 35.9 inches (respectively) are sufficient. The trunk shrinks by a couple of cubic feet to 10.8, which is less than a compact Honda Civic. If these are issues, we’ve found that the BMW i5 is more accommodating, and the Lucid Air’s rear quarters are exceptionally spacious.
In the pursuit of saving weight, Genesis doesn’t offer a moonroof with the Electrified G80.

Lots of equipment for the price, unbeatable warranties, a classy interior, and great tech &#8212; we think the 2025 Genesis Electrified G80 is a must-consider car for anyone looking to drive around in electric-powered luxury. Although <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/">Genesis</a> also makes a couple of all-electric SUVs, this is the company’s only electric vehicle (EV) in sedan form. And yes, it is derived from the terrific gasoline-powered G80. We’d say that was a good thing.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of <a href="https://www.kbb.com/electric-car/best-luxury-electric-cars/">luxury electric cars</a>, including the Genesis Electrified G80.

Nestled in the lower regions of the Genesis Electrified G80 is an 87.2-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. That’s an average capacity, similar to the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan. Recharging from 10% to 100% on a 240-volt supply (like a home charger) takes just under 7.5 hours.
<h3>5-Year/60,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Genesis has some of the best warranties in the business. New-vehicle coverage lasts five years or 60,000 miles, whichever happens first, while powertrains and electric vehicle (EV) batteries are protected for 10 years or 100,000 miles. Free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles is also included.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (<a href="https://www.iihs.org/ratings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IIHS</a>) has awarded the Electrified G80 its highest accolade of Top Safety Pick+. Although this electric version of the G80 hasn’t been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (<a href="https://www.nhtsa.gov/ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NHTSA</a>), its almost identical combustion counterpart took a maximum 5-Star overall score.

This model year brings no significant changes. We’re expecting a longer-wheelbase version for 2026.

The 2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron is an all-new, all-electric midsize luxury car with a maximum range of 392 miles.

Power

With one motor driving just the rear wheels, the entry-level version of the A6 Sportback e-tron is propelled by 375 horsepower. That compares well against the 355 horses of the BMW i5 eDrive40 and the 288 horsepower of the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+. This muscle should enable the A6 Sportback e-tron to accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in about five seconds or so, a fraction quicker than these rivals. The alternative configuration with all-wheel drive adds a second motor turning the front wheels and contributing to a total of 456 hp. There’s also a dual-motor/543-hp 2025 Audi S6 Sportback e-tron, which we review separately.
Having shunned the idea for its present electric vehicles, Audi has almost got on board with one-pedal driving, which the company calls B mode. It doesn’t bring the car to a complete halt when lifting all the way off the accelerator, but does slow it down through higher levels of brake energy regeneration.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The maximum range of the 2025 A6 Sportback e-tron is 392 miles, achieved by the single-motor/rear-wheel-drive version with the optional Ultra package. That’s an estimate from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). For reference, the EQE 350+ and i5 eDrive40 both come in just under 300 miles, while the Lucid Air Pure manages 420 miles, with the Tesla Model S claiming 402 miles.
Using a DC fast charger, the A6 Sportback e-tron’s battery can go from 10% capacity to 80% in 21 minutes. That’s about as good as the present state of battery technology allows.

Graceful, Aerodynamic Exterior

The A6 e-tron is highly aerodynamic, with a drag coefficient of 0.23. Most rivals are similarly slippery, however. Instead of being a sedan, like the outgoing A6, this new electric model has a hatchback along the same likes as the A7 Sportback that we already know and appreciate for its clever combination of grace and practicality. Standard wheels are 19-inch alloys &#8212; with an aerodynamic design, of course.

Adaptive air suspension 
This is available in the new A6 Sportback e-tron, bringing a spread of settings from comfortable to sporty, and adjusting ride height according to conditions &#8212; which helps optimize aerodynamic efficiency.
Augmented reality head-up display 
Not just projecting typical information onto the windshield in front of the driver, this option adds things like direction arrows for navigation.
Adaptive driving assistant 
This technology augments adaptive cruise control with map information and other data to enhance occupant comfort, as well as calculate arrival times.
Park Assist Plus 
Self-parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces is always a good thing in our (blue) book.
Panoramic glass roof 
The A6 Sportback e-tron offers this cool glass roof that can go from transparent to four levels of opaqueness with the touch of a button.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
We think it’s good to see &#8212; and hear &#8212; some perennially favorite features making their way into Audi’s newest cars. The A6 Sportback e-tron offers a Bang &amp; Olufsen surround-sound system with 830 watts going through 20 speakers, some of those speakers being in the front headrests.

Tech-Rich Interior

Audi always has a winning way with interior design. The new A6 Sportback e-tron mixes technology with comfort and smart ergonomics. The tech includes a single curved unit incorporating an 11.9-inch instrument cluster with a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. Audi calls this the Digital Stage. An optional 10.9-inch display is also available for the front passenger, who can help the driver with navigation and finding a parking space, or just be entertained by streaming content or games without distracting their traveling companion. All the screens are OLED. The infotainment tech itself is based on an Android operating system, although Apple CarPlay remains a standard item.
Options include a quad-zone climate control system with an ionizer and fragrance. Thanks to its hatchback body, the A6 Sportback e-tron has a generous and versatile cargo area. Fold down the 40/20/40 split rear seats to access 39.9 cubic feet of space.

The new 2025 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron replaces the combustion-powered A6 sedan. We’ve been waiting for this car with eagerness, because Mercedes-Benz and BMW already have their equivalents up and selling. And we knew <a href="http://www.kbb.com/audi/">Audi</a> would dress its latest electric vehicle (EV) in pretty cool apparel and endow it with interesting tech.

The all-electric 2025 GMC Sierra EV full-size pickup has the work ethic and comfort of the rest of the Sierra line, plus 460 miles of range.

For 2025, the GMC Sierra EV Denali – the only trim level available – produces up to 760 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque in Max Power mode. That translates to a zero-to-60 mph time of about 4.5 seconds, which is especially impressive considering this truck’s 4-ton weight.
As this is a Denali, every 2025 Sierra EV comes well-equipped. Its standard adaptive air suspension keeps the ride comfortable but still very clearly feels like a truck. It may even have a nicer ride with a bit of payload in the bed. This air suspension lets you raise the truck about two inches when needed or lower it two inches from the default height to make it easier to load and unload gear or get in or out. The quiet interior, plus the Sierra EV’s comfortable seats, make long drives especially pleasant. The EV’s rear-wheel steering makes the truck much easier to maneuver around town. As is the case with many EVs, the Sierra EV has regenerative braking. With a touch of a button on the touchscreen, you can choose one-pedal driving. The regen options are off, normal, and high. While the high mode will help ensure the highest range, braking is more abrupt.

Futuristic, Functional GMC Exterior

The Sierra EV’s stance, headlight profile, and front-end are a fresh take on GMC truck design. This truck&#8217;s dimensions are similar to that of a Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. But there are signs that this isn’t a 1500. There’s no grille, and no separation between the cab and the bed – unlike what you find on a typical truck. It isn&#8217;t a body-0n-frame or unibody; instead, it&#8217;s a hybrid of the two. The 2025 Sierra EV comes solely as a crew cab model with a 6-foot (actually, 71-inch) bed.
However, thanks to the MultiPro Midgate, this standard-length bed can carry items that are nearly 11 feet long without them hanging over the tailgate. Fold down the Midgate and second row, and there’s loads of space for long cargo. If the cargo is narrow enough, you can fold down one side of the 60/40-split rear seats, and a passenger can sit in back next to something like a kayak or surfboard.
Finishing off the exterior are 24-inch 6-spoke aluminum wheels and LED lighting at the corners. It also has a “frunk” that can carry 10.7 cubic feet of gear. That’s enough space for multiple pieces of luggage.

Technology 
If you like tech features, you’ll love what the Sierra EV Denali has to offer. It all starts with a vertically oriented 16.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. It’s designed to let you have three apps up at once. Here, you will find controls for the truck’s helpful towing tech. There’s also an 11-inch configurable digital instrument cluster plus a head-up display.
MultiPro Midgate 
GMC revived one of the best truck features in the GM stable: the midgate. This new version, called the MultiPro Midgate, allows space for cargo nearly 11 feet long while a passenger can still sit in the second row at the same time.
MultiPro Tailgate 
The Sierra EV Denali comes standard with this multifunction tailgate. It can serve as a bed step into the bed, as a workbench, or as a load stop to hold long items in place.
Power Station Pro 
The Power Station Pro feature provides up to 10.2 kilowatts to run things like power tools or campsite accessories. It can even charge another EV.
Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Capability 
An even cooler use of the Sierra EV is its V2H capability. In the event of a longer power outage, this truck can power your home for up to 21 days.
Super Cruise 
General Motors’ hands-free driving system works on more than 400,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada—which will expand to 750,000 miles—and is compatible with a trailer. We’ve logged hundreds of reduced-effort Super Cruise miles and always look forward to more.

Spacious, Upscale Cabin

The Sierra EV only comes as a crew cab, and there’s plenty of space in both rows. All occupants are treated to heated, cooled, perforated, and quilted “leather alternative” seats. Accents of real open-pore wood can be seen throughout. There’s even a wood insert in the center console lid, under which lies a charger for your phone. You can place the phone in the recessed spot in the lid, and when you slide the door open, the phone shelf slides into the center console. That’s pretty clever.
The centerpiece of this elegant interior is the 16.8-inch touchscreen, where you can control many of the truck’s work, comfort, communications, and entertainment features. This is the screen where you can use the Pro Grade trailering system, which includes the trailer brake controller, several cameras, blind-zone steering assist, and tire pressure sensors. There’s also a 14-inch head-up display, 7-speaker Bose audio, and a panoramic fixed-glass roof.

While the Sierra EV doesn’t share platforms with the gas-powered Sierra trucks, it is guided by the same ideals, including solid towing capacity, comfort, and upscale amenities. The electric truck then adds up to 460 miles of range, obliterating range anxiety. It’s also fast, getting up to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds. The Sierra EV doesn’t have the same towing capacity as the gas Sierra, but its 10,500-pound capacity is plenty for most people.
The Sierra EV is on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, which is shared with the Chevrolet Silverado EV. Yes, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/gmc/">GMC</a> and Chevy truck kinship carries over to electric models, too.
With modern looks, exceptional range, workability, and creature comforts, the Sierra EV is a great all-electric truck choice.

They come with fewer features but cost thousands less. Range and Charging

The 2025 Sierra EV electric truck uses a 2-motor electric system and comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD). It has a peak range of 460 miles in the Max Range Denali. The Extended Range Denali’s range is still an impressive 390 miles. Looking at the competition, the Ford F-150 Lightning with an Extended Range battery can run for 320 miles, the Tesla Cybertruck’s maximum is 320 miles, and the Rivian R1T is rated at 420 miles.
Using an 800-volt DC fast charger, 100 miles of range can be uploaded in just 10 minutes. This rate compares well to that of Tesla Cybertruck and the Rivian R1T.
<h3>Towing and Payload</h3>
The maximum towing capacity of the 2025 Sierra EV Denali electric truck is 10,500 pounds. That’s better than the Ford F-150 Lightning with its extended-range battery (10,000) but lower than the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV LT (12,500). The Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T are both rated at 11,000 pounds. For reference, the combustion Sierra 1500 can pull up to 13,300 pounds.
As for payload capacity, the 2025 Sierra EV can handle 1,450 pounds. That’s on the low side for this class of electric trucks (and much less than the gasoline Sierra 1500’s 2,260 pounds), but still a decent amount in the real world.
<h3>3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
GMC’s new-vehicle warranty lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Powertrains are covered for five years or 60,000 miles, while the battery has a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles. These terms are typical among mainstream manufacturers.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision alert, rear cross-traffic braking, plus a following distance indicator.

What's New for 2025

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV is only offered as the Denali trim for 2025. It is now available with two different ranges. The Extended Range version has up to 390 miles of range and a lower starting price. The Max Range version has up to 460 miles of range. The all-new 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes Audi design and tech to a higher level.

Power, Ride, and Handling

Compared with the outgoing model, just seven more horses join the new A5’s stable of 268 horsepower. That should still be sufficient for a brisk sprint from standstill to 60 mph in about five seconds. For reference, the BMW 430i xDrive Gran Coupe packs 255 hp and hits 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
Audi says it has upgraded the A5 with a more responsive suspension, sharper steering, and brake-based torque vectoring. This latter feature enables the outside wheel to track around a corner faster than its inside counterpart, for effective cornering. We’re still expecting some of that typical Audi approach where there’s a certain flow to the car, rather than being too stiff.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
We’ll update this section when official figures come through. In the meantime, we’re hoping the new A5 will beat the previous car’s 26 mpg combined and be more in line with the 29 mpg combined achieved by the 255-hp BMW 430i xDrive.

Impactful Exterior

Like the erstwhile A5 Sportback, the new 2025 A5 is a 4-door car with a hatchback. Yet, to our eyes, it still manages to be one of the sleekest 4-doors out there. Also, if anyone thought that Audi designs had become a bit unremarkable, this A5 shakes things up with a strong visual impact.

All-wheel drive 
It’s a common thing and comes as standard in the new A5. But that doesn’t mean we should take it for granted because it provides great grip and traction.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
The top version of these two superb setups available is a surround-sound system with 810 watts going through 20 speakers, four of which are in the front headrests of the (also optional) sport front seats.
Navigation prompts 
Admittedly, we’ve all heard that disembodied voice telling us to turn right in 700 feet (or whatever). The clever thing here is that such prompts can come through the new A5’s aforementioned driver’s-side headrest speakers so as not to disturb any other occupants.
Head-up display 
Much bigger than the one offered before, this head-up display is configurable to show a choice of information using controls on the steering wheel &#8212; so the driver can keep looking ahead.
Dynamic interaction light 
BMW has something similar. It’s part of the cabin’s LED lighting, a strip running across the top of the dashboard that activates when locking or unlocking, clicking on a turn signal, and several other functions.

Techy yet Practical Interior

Companies like Mercedes-Benz and BMW introduced one-piece displays into their cars a few years ago, while Audi brings its Digital Stage to the new A5. This refers to a single unit employing OLED technology and housing an 11.9-inch instrument cluster plus a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. An extra 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger is optional. Just in front of the Digital Stage is a flat-bottomed and flat-topped steering wheel.
This latest A5 has a massive 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (1.6 more than before), opening to 36.6 cubic feet with those back seats folded.

Here comes the second part of Audi’s confusing strategy with its 2025 Audi A5. This car is an all-new model, replacing both the previous A4 sedan and A5 Sportback &#8212; even though the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/a4/">2025 A4</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/a5-sportback/">2025 A5 Sportback</a> are still being sold at <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/">Audi</a> dealerships until stocks dry up.
Once 2026 rolls around, the new A5 will have the combustion-powered Audi compact luxury car section to itself. Like the old A5 Sportback, this one has a hatchback instead of a conventional trunk. Neither car lets its eminent practicality get in the way of its superb sleekness. Or vice versa.

Premium Plus has been a popular choice with the previous A5 generation, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was the same with this new A5. The A5’s starting price is $3,600 more than the 2025 A4 sedan, but $700 below the outgoing A5 Sportback.
Not many rivals offer a hatchback, but the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/4-series/2025/">BMW 4 Series</a> Gran Coupe is one consideration and close to the A5 in price. Going down the sedan route opens up the possibility of the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/3-series/">BMW 3 Series</a> or <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/c-class/">Mercedes-Benz C-Class</a>, both in the same financial ballpark as the A5. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/g70/">Genesis G70</a> comes in about $5,000 below those cars.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine propels the new A5 with 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque &#8212; a modest bump over its predecessor, but a decent amount of muscle all the same.
