With one motor driving just the rear wheels, the entry-level version of the A6 Sportback e-tron is propelled by 375 horsepower. That compares well against the 355 horses of the BMW i5 eDrive40 and the 288 horsepower of the Mercedes-EQ EQE 350+. This muscle should enable the A6 Sportback e-tron to accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in about five seconds or so, a fraction quicker than these rivals. The alternative configuration with all-wheel drive adds a second motor turning the front wheels and contributing to a total of 456 hp. There’s also a dual-motor/543-hp 2025 Audi S6 Sportback e-tron, which we review separately.
Having shunned the idea for its present electric vehicles, Audi has almost got on board with one-pedal driving, which the company calls B mode. It doesn’t bring the car to a complete halt when lifting all the way off the accelerator, but does slow it down through higher levels of brake energy regeneration.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The maximum range of the 2025 A6 Sportback e-tron is 392 miles, achieved by the single-motor/rear-wheel-drive version with the optional Ultra package. That’s an estimate from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). For reference, the EQE 350+ and i5 eDrive40 both come in just under 300 miles, while the Lucid Air Pure manages 420 miles, with the Tesla Model S claiming 402 miles.
Using a DC fast charger, the A6 Sportback e-tron’s battery can go from 10% capacity to 80% in 21 minutes. That’s about as good as the present state of battery technology allows.

Graceful, Aerodynamic Exterior

The A6 e-tron is highly aerodynamic, with a drag coefficient of 0.23. Most rivals are similarly slippery, however. Instead of being a sedan, like the outgoing A6, this new electric model has a hatchback along the same likes as the A7 Sportback that we already know and appreciate for its clever combination of grace and practicality. Standard wheels are 19-inch alloys, with an aerodynamic design of course.

Audi always has a winning way with interior design. The new A6 Sportback e-tron mixes technology with comfort and smart ergonomics. The tech includes a single curved unit incorporating an 11.9-inch instrument cluster with a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. Audi calls this the Digital Stage. An optional 10.9-inch display is also available for the front passenger, who can help the driver with navigation and finding a parking space, or just be entertained by streaming content or games without distracting their traveling companion. All the screens are OLED. The infotainment tech itself is based on an Android operating system, although Apple CarPlay remains a standard item.
Options include a quad-zone climate control system with an ionizer and fragrance. Thanks to its hatchback body, the A6 Sportback e-tron has a generous and versatile cargo area. Fold down the 40/20/40 split rear seats to access 39.9 cubic feet of space.

For 2025, the GMC Sierra EV Denali – the only trim level available – produces up to 760 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque in Max Power mode. That translates to a zero-to-60 mph time of about 4.5 seconds, which is especially impressive considering this truck’s 4-ton weight.
As this is a Denali, every 2025 Sierra EV comes well-equipped. Its standard adaptive air suspension keeps the ride comfortable but still very clearly feels like a truck. It may even have a nicer ride with a bit of payload in the bed. This air suspension lets you raise the truck about two inches when needed or lower it two inches from the default height to make it easier to load and unload gear or get in or out. The quiet interior, plus the Sierra EV’s comfortable seats, make long drives especially pleasant. The EV’s rear-wheel steering makes the truck much easier to maneuver around town. As is the case with many EVs, the Sierra EV has regenerative braking. With a touch of a button on the touchscreen, you can choose one-pedal driving. The regen options are off, normal, and high. While the high mode will help ensure the highest range, braking is more abrupt.

Futuristic, Functional GMC Exterior

The Sierra EV’s stance, headlight profile, and front-end are a fresh take on GMC truck design. This truck&#8217;s dimensions are similar to that of a Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. But there are signs that this isn’t a 1500. There’s no grille, and no separation between the cab and the bed – unlike what you find on a typical truck. It isn&#8217;t a body-0n-frame or unibody; instead, it&#8217;s a hybrid of the two. The 2025 Sierra EV comes solely as a crew cab model with a 6-foot (actually, 71-inch) bed.
However, thanks to the MultiPro Midgate, this standard-length bed can carry items that are nearly 11 feet long without them hanging over the tailgate. Fold down the Midgate and second row, and there’s loads of space for long cargo. If the cargo is narrow enough, you can fold down one side of the 60/40-split rear seats, and a passenger can sit in back next to something like a kayak or surfboard.
Finishing off the exterior are 24-inch 6-spoke aluminum wheels and LED lighting at the corners. It also has a “frunk” that can carry 10.7 cubic feet of gear. That’s enough space for multiple pieces of luggage.

Technology 
If you like tech features, you’ll love what the Sierra EV Denali has to offer. It all starts with a vertically oriented 16.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. It’s designed to let you have three apps up at once. Here, you will find controls for the truck’s helpful towing tech. There’s also an 11-inch configurable digital instrument cluster plus a head-up display.
MultiPro Midgate 
GMC revived one of the best truck features in the GM stable: the midgate. This new version, called the MultiPro Midgate, allows space for cargo nearly 11 feet long while a passenger can still sit in the second row at the same time.
MultiPro Tailgate 
The Sierra EV Denali comes standard with this multifunction tailgate. It can serve as a bed step into the bed, as a workbench, or as a load stop to hold long items in place.
Power Station Pro 
The Power Station Pro feature provides up to 10.2 kilowatts to run things like power tools or campsite accessories. It can even charge another EV.
Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) Capability 
An even cooler use of the Sierra EV is its V2H capability. In the event of a longer power outage, this truck can power your home for up to 21 days.
Super Cruise 
General Motors’ hands-free driving system works on more than 400,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada—which will expand to 750,000 miles—and is compatible with a trailer. We’ve logged hundreds of reduced-effort Super Cruise miles and always look forward to more.

Spacious, Upscale Cabin

The Sierra EV only comes as a crew cab, and there’s plenty of space in both rows. All occupants are treated to heated, cooled, perforated, and quilted “leather alternative” seats. Accents of real open-pore wood can be seen throughout. There’s even a wood insert in the center console lid, under which lies a charger for your phone. You can place the phone in the recessed spot in the lid, and when you slide the door open, the phone shelf slides into the center console. That’s pretty clever.
The centerpiece of this elegant interior is the 16.8-inch touchscreen, where you can control many of the truck’s work, comfort, communications, and entertainment features. This is the screen where you can use the Pro Grade trailering system, which includes the trailer brake controller, several cameras, blind-zone steering assist, and tire pressure sensors. There’s also a 14-inch head-up display, 7-speaker Bose audio, and a panoramic fixed-glass roof.

While the Sierra EV doesn’t share platforms with the gas-powered Sierra trucks, it is guided by the same ideals, including solid towing capacity, comfort, and upscale amenities. The electric truck then adds up to 460 miles of range, obliterating range anxiety. It’s also fast, getting up to 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds. The Sierra EV doesn’t have the same towing capacity as the gas Sierra, but its 10,500-pound capacity is plenty for most people.
The Sierra EV is on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, which is shared with the Chevrolet Silverado EV. Yes, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/gmc/">GMC</a> and Chevy truck kinship carries over to electric models, too.
With modern looks, exceptional range, workability, and creature comforts, the Sierra EV is a great all-electric truck choice.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of full-size truck EVs, including this GMC Sierra EV.

Although GMC models are somewhat more upscale than the Chevy equivalents, if you want that capability and range at a lower price, we recommend checking out the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/silverado-ev/">Silverado EV</a>, available in WT, LT, and RST trims. They come with fewer features but cost thousands less. Outside of the GM family, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/tesla/cybertruck/">Tesla Cybertruck</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/rivian/r1t/">Rivian R1T</a> have lower starting prices, but it’s very easy to add features that make pricing about the same. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/ford/f150-lightning/2025/">Ford F-150 Lightning</a> has the lowest starting price in this segment. Range and Charging

The 2025 Sierra EV electric truck uses a 2-motor electric system and comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD). It has a peak range of 460 miles in the Max Range Denali. The Extended Range Denali’s range is still an impressive 390 miles. Looking at the competition, the Ford F-150 Lighting with an Extended Range battery can run for 320 miles, the Tesla Cybertruck’s maximum is 320 miles, and the Rivian R1T is rated at 420 miles.
Using an 800-volt DC fast charger, 100 miles of range can be uploaded in just 10 minutes. This rate compares well to that of Tesla Cybertruck and the Rivian R1T.
<h3>Towing and Payload</h3>
The maximum towing capacity of the 2025 Sierra EV Denali electric truck is 10,500 pounds. That’s better than the Ford F-150 Lightning with its extended-range battery (10,000) but lower than the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV LT (12,500). The Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T are both rated at 11,000 pounds. For reference, the combustion Sierra 1500 can pull up to 13,300 pounds.
As for payload capacity, the 2025 Sierra EV can handle 1,450 pounds. That’s on the low side for this class of electric trucks (and much less than the gasoline Sierra 1500’s 2,260 pounds), but still a decent amount in the real world.
<h3>3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
GMC’s new-vehicle warranty lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Powertrains are covered for five years or 60,000 miles, while the battery has a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles. These terms are typical among mainstream manufacturers.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision alert, rear cross-traffic braking, plus a following distance indicator.

What's New for 2025

The 2025 GMC Sierra EV is only offered as the Denali trim for 2025. It is now available with two different ranges. The Extended Range version has up to 390 miles of range and a lower starting price. The Max Range version has up to 460 miles of range. Additional exterior color choices now include Summit White, Deep Ocean Metallic, Onyx Black, Dark Ember Tintcoat, and Moonlight Matte, join the original Thunderstorm Gray.

The all-new 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes Audi design and tech to a higher level.

Power, Ride, and Handling

Compared with the outgoing model, just seven more horses join the new A5’s stable of 268 horsepower. That should still be sufficient for a brisk sprint from standstill to 60 mph in about five seconds. For reference, the BMW 430i xDrive Gran Coupe packs 255 hp and hits 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
Audi says it has upgraded the A5 with a more responsive suspension, sharper steering, and brake-based torque vectoring. This latter feature enables the outside wheel to track around a corner faster than its inside counterpart, for effective cornering. We’re still expecting some of that typical Audi approach where there’s a certain flow to the car, rather than being too stiff.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
We’ll update this section when official figures come through. In the meantime, we’re hoping the new A5 will beat the previous car’s 26 mpg combined and be more in line with the 29 mpg combined achieved by the 255-hp BMW 430i xDrive.

Impactful Exterior

Like the erstwhile A5 Sportback, the new 2025 A5 is a 4-door car with a hatchback. Yet, to our eyes, it still manages to be one of the sleekest 4-doors out there. Also, if anyone thought that Audi designs had become a bit unremarkable, this A5 shakes things up with a strong visual impact.

All-wheel drive 
It’s a common thing and comes as standard in the new A5. But that doesn’t mean we should take it for granted because it provides great grip and traction.
Bang &amp; Olufsen audio 
The top version of these two superb setups available is a surround-sound system with 810 watts going through 20 speakers, four of which are in the front headrests of the (also optional) sport front seats.
Navigation prompts 
Admittedly, we’ve all heard that disembodied voice telling us to turn right in 700 feet (or whatever). The clever thing here is that such prompts can come through the new A5’s aforementioned driver’s-side headrest speakers so as not to disturb any other occupants.
Head-up display 
Much bigger than the one offered before, this head-up display is configurable to show a choice of information using controls on the steering wheel &#8212; so the driver can keep looking ahead.
Dynamic interaction light 
BMW has something similar. It’s part of the cabin’s LED lighting, a strip running across the top of the dashboard that activates when locking or unlocking, clicking on a turn signal, and several other functions.

Techy yet Practical Interior

Companies like Mercedes-Benz and BMW introduced one-piece displays into their cars a few years ago, while Audi brings its Digital Stage to the new A5. This refers to a single unit employing OLED technology and housing an 11.9-inch instrument cluster plus a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. An extra 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger is optional. Just in front of the Digital Stage is a flat-bottomed and flat-topped steering wheel.
This latest A5 has a massive 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats (1.6 more than before), opening to 36.6 cubic feet with those back seats folded.

Here comes the second part of Audi’s confusing strategy with its 2025 Audi A5. This car is an all-new model, replacing both the previous A4 sedan and A5 Sportback &#8212; even though the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/a4/">2025 A4</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/a5-sportback/">2025 A5 Sportback</a> are still being sold at <a href="https://www.kbb.com/audi/">Audi</a> dealerships until stocks dry up.
Once 2026 rolls around, the new A5 will have the combustion-powered Audi compact luxury car section to itself. Like the old A5 Sportback, this one has a hatchback instead of a conventional trunk. Neither car lets its eminent practicality get in the way of its superb sleekness. Or vice versa.

Premium Plus has been a popular choice with the previous A5 generation, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if it was the same with this new A5. The A5’s starting price is $3,600 more than the 2025 A4 sedan, but $700 below the outgoing A5 Sportback.
Not many rivals offer a hatchback, but the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/4-series/2025/">BMW 4 Series</a> Gran Coupe is one consideration and close to the A5 in price. Going down the sedan route opens up the possibility of the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/3-series/">BMW 3 Series</a> or <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/c-class/">Mercedes-Benz C-Class</a>, both in the same financial ballpark as the A5. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/g70/">Genesis G70</a> comes in about $5,000 below those cars.

Resale values of the previous generation have been a fraction below average. Recouping more money when selling a vehicle can mean a bigger down payment and lower monthly payments on the next one.

A turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine propels the new A5 with 268 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque &#8212; a modest bump over its predecessor, but a decent amount of muscle all the same. This is linked to a 7-speed automated transmission that drives all four wheels. We review the V6-powered new S5 separately.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Audi’s new-vehicle and powertrain warranties last four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. This protection is typical among European luxury car makers. Audi also includes four years of roadside assistance.
<h3>Safety</h3>
Pardon the pun, but it’s safe to assume the new A5 will come with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard, along with a few other driver assistance features.

Based on a fresh platform, the 2025 A5 is an all-new model that’s higher, wider, and longer than the outgoing A4 sedan. The new A5 also heralds a somewhat different approach to exterior design and an updated interior design incorporating plenty of technology. Audi ditched the Sportback part of the name, leading us to assume that there won’t be any coupe or convertible variants this time around.

The all-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA morphs into a compact luxury sedan with electric power.

Power, Ride and Handling

The entry-level 2026 CLA 250+ applies its 268 hp to sprint from standstill to 60 mph in about 6.6 seconds — respectable enough. For reference, the base BMW i4 eDrive40 has 335 horses and will hit 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. And a 295-hp Tesla Model 3 could be quicker still. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) 2026 CLA 350 4Matic produces 349 hp, bringing the ability to reach 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
The standard suspension is calibrated for comfort and features a multi-link rear setup similar to larger, grander Mercedes-Benz cars like the E-Class and S-Class.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
Until official figures from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are available, we’re going with a couple of estimates. The CLA 250+ could have a maximum range of about 390 miles, with the all-wheel-drive CLA 350 4Matic covering around 380 miles. If this is close, then it would beat the present class leader — the Model 3, with 363 miles.
Using a DC fast charger, Mercedes-Benz says the new CLA can take on about 180 miles of range in 10 minutes. This would make it at least as quick to recharge as the BMW i4 and Genesis GV60.

Aerodynamic Exterior

Eye-catching details include the optional 3-pointed star LED light signatures up front and the 142 LED stars in the grille. The taillights also go for the star motif, and the wheel designs look cool. On a more subtle note, the 2026 CLA has a drag coefficient of 0.21. We appreciate that this is getting into the nerdy details, but take it from us, 0.21 is great. Better than the current Toyota Prius. And the less drag an electric vehicle has, the better it can maximize its range.

Superscreen 
The optional jewel in the new CLA’s cabin, this stunning unit houses a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 14-inch display for the front passenger.
Over-the-air updates 
The new CLA is linked to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud, enabling over-the-air updates that can improve navigation, battery efficiency, safety features, and more.
Artificial intelligence 
The new CLA is the first Mercedes-Benz to come with artificial intelligence from both Google and Microsoft. One intention behind this combination is for third-party apps to integrate seamlessly. Another is to carry out voice commands given in natural speech.
Electric Intelligence 
This is the part of the navigation system that factors in any recharging that might be necessary along the way.
Carbon neutrality 
The 2026 CLA is built in Germany in a factory that is net carbon neutral and uses 100% green electricity.
Burmester audio 
We’re big fans of Burmester. A 16-speaker/850-watt surround-sound system with Dolby Atmos is optional in the 2026 CLA. Give it a listen, and you’ll want to experience it every day.

Cutting-Edge Interior

Mercedes-Benz describes its approach to the new CLA’s interior design as following “the principle of reduction to the essentials.” Which we’re interpreting as another way of saying “minimalist.” A dual-level center console is standard, while a dash-width Superscreen is optional. Practically the entire roof is a fixed glass pane with an infrared film. As well as typical interior accents like open-pore wood and brushed aluminum, the CLA offers upholstery with a pearl-effect finish, and a supposedly decorative paper surface never used in cars before. Some fabrics and carpets are made from recycled material.
This new CLA has more passenger space than before, but it’s not dramatic. Front occupants have almost half an inch more legroom, while Mercedes-Benz has yet to divulge the amount of rear legroom, usually a source of complaint in the outgoing model. However, rear headroom (another area ripe for griping) increases by 1.1 inches.
Trunk space measures 14.3 cubic feet, beating the BMW i4’s. The CLA also has 2.5 cubic feet of storage space under the hood — a bit of a departure for Mercedes-Benz, as that area is inaccessible in the company’s current electric vehicles.

The third generation of Mercedes-Benz CLA kicks in for the 2026 model year. Electric power plays a big part, and contributes to long names. For example, the official title of the current entry-level model is CLA 250+ with EQ Technology, and the range-topping variant is called the CLA 350 4Matic with EQ Technology.
The CLA 250+ has one electric motor generating a decent 268 horsepower and a projected range of around 390 miles. The 2026 CLA lineup is styled to resemble the company’s other all-electric sedans like the EQE. We’ve noticed that <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mercedes-benz/">Mercedes-Benz</a> has stopped calling the CLA a coupe, even though it’s always had four doors. It also looks like this bigger CLA could be classified as a compact sedan, instead of a subcompact like its predecessor.
There’s still more information to come, so we’ll be updating this review whenever we get the facts.

We expect the 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA to start at around $50,000.

Looking at the competition, the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/tesla/model-3/">Tesla Model 3</a> could undercut the new CLA by about $5K. The <a href="https://www.kbb.com/bmw/i4/">BMW i4</a> Gran Coupe is more likely to be closer price-wise. And the SUV-like <a href="https://www.kbb.com/genesis/gv60/">Genesis GV60</a> would be a few grand less.

The 2026 CLA 250+ drives its rear wheels with a single electric motor making 268 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.
The 2026 CLA 350 4Matic has an electric motor for each axle, creating all-wheel drive. Total output here is 349 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. For optimum efficiency, the front motor can disconnect automatically, just sparking into action whenever the situation demands.
<h3>4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
Mercedes-Benz has new-car and powertrain warranties of four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. These terms are typical in the luxury sector. The company’s EV batteries are covered for 10 years or 155,000 miles, which is more generous than usual.
<h3>Safety</h3>
One notable new feature is a standard center airbag between the front seats. Adaptive cruise control is also included, while options include lane-changing assistance and a self-parking feature.

What's new for 2026

Everything about this third-generation CLA is new. For the first time, the CLA offers all-electric variants, with gasoline/electric hybrid models expected to follow. Exterior and interior designs are fresh, with cutting-edge technology part of the overall package (Mercedes-Benz is calling this its cleverest car ever), as well as more cabin space than before.

The 2025 Ram Heavy Duty line of trucks provides a terrific blend of towing and payload capability with a comfortable, upscale cabin.

There are two engine choices with the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty, both of which are backed by a new 8-speed automatic transmission. The Ram Heavy Duty line comes standard with a 405-horsepower 6.4-liter gas engine, and you can opt for a 430-hp 6.7-liter turbodiesel inline 6-cylinder, which is essentially the same as last year’s High Output version. The only trim level that isn’t available with the diesel is the Power Wagon.
The gas engine is quick off the line, with plenty of power. It may be the base engine, but if you don&#8217;t need to tow 36,000 pounds, it&#8217;s a great choice. Shifts are smooth, and because the transmission is shift by wire, using the column shifter is light and easy, with none of the clunkiness of the traditional column shift.
We towed with the turbodiesel up Davis Dam, which is a significant grade. The Cummins was smooth and steady, and the 8-speed automatic held one gear nearly all the way up. It felt like it had plenty of power in reserve, a feeling that was reinforced by the engine&#8217;s impressive response when unladen. Also, because of the updates for 2025, this is now one of the quietest diesels you can get in a heavy-duty truck.
The Ram 2500 has a nice, comfortable ride, thanks to the use of coil springs in the rear. New suspension tuning ensures the ride is even nicer for 2025. The 3500 uses rear leaf springs, but with the available adaptive air suspension — also available in the 2500 — the ride is quite pleasant.
<h3>Fuel Economy</h3>
Heavy-duty trucks aren’t subject to EPA mileage tests; consequently, there are no estimated mileage numbers. But, expect per-gallon fuel economy in the teens, which is average for the segment.

Big, Bold Exterior

The 2025 Heavy Duty lineup received a significant refresh for the 2025 model year. With that came new grilles, and sharper-looking LED headlights and taillights. Grille designs are more aggressive and different for each trim. In addition, each trim level has its own unique styling cues, including wheel and tire packages, brightwork, badges, and graphics. Power towing mirrors are available, and you can use the power mirror to control both the large mirror and the smaller spot mirror.
As you would expect with a heavy-duty truck, the 2500 and 3500 are larger than the 1500 1/2-ton equivalent. However, the 2500 and 3500 are about the same size as their competitors, meaning if you are used to driving a 3/4- or 1-ton truck, the Ram’s size and footprint will be about what you would expect. What is different from a 1/2-ton is that you can get a Heavy Duty Crew Cab with an 8-foot bed, and you can get the Mega Cab with a 6’4” bed. That makes these trucks longer than 1/2-tons, and the available dual rear-wheel (dually) setup on 3500 trucks makes them wider, too. Optional lockable bed storage, called the RamBox, is available.

Towing Cameras 
A 360-degree surround-view camera and a Cargo View camera, both part of the Tow Tech package, are available on every trim level. You can also add your own camera or a Mopar camera that can show you what’s behind your trailer when the rearview mirror is blocked.
Handy Truck Bed Gear 
The 2500 and 3500 are available with the RamBox lockable, drainable bed storage, which also comes with a 115-volt outlet. You can also get a cargo rail system with four cleats and a truck bed divider.
Power Inverter 
This new option makes the truck bed even more functional. The onboard power inverter can provide up to 2.4kW of power through two covered outlets. You turn it on with a switch on the inverter and control it through the main touch screen in the cabin.
Helpful Towing Tech 
An available digital rearview mirror can typically show a video feed of what’s behind the truck without passengers’ heads or cargo getting in the way. It also has a tow mode, so the trailer can “disappear.” With <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/trailer-backup-assist/">Trailer Reverse Steering Control</a>, the driver turns a dial on the center console in the desired direction, and the system handles the steering while the driver controls the brakes and throttle. There’s an engine control system that’s designed to sense when the truck is loaded or unloaded, and in turn adjusts the transmission’s shifts. And the trailer tow mirrors are power telescoping and even the smaller magnified section is power-adjustable.
Displays of Strength 
You would be hard-pressed to say with a straight face that Ram doesn’t offer enough large displays in its trucks. The gauge cluster is a 12.3-inch digital setup that’s configurable. Beyond the standard 8.4-inch navigation screen is an available 12-inch screen or a 14.5-inch unit. In addition, this is the only heavy-duty truck that offers a screen for the front passenger. This 10.25-inch touchscreen includes an HDMI outlet and is only visible to the passenger. It can mirror a smartphone and allows the passenger to help with navigation and keep an eye on external tow cameras.
Power Wagon 
Available only as a 2500 Crew Cab, this is the off-road specialist. In addition to sporting 4-wheel drive as standard, it also offers a disconnecting front anti-roll bar to provide as much axle articulation as possible. Other goodies are a Warn Zeon-12 winch (rated at 12,000 pounds and with a kink- and fray-resistant synthetic line), electronic locking front/rear differentials, and a specialized Bilstein suspension.
Harman Kardon audio 
Only available as an option in the top Limited trim, this 17-speaker/900-watt surround-sound system would be an appropriate finishing touch for any luxury interior.

Plush, Roomy Interior

Not only are Ram trucks known for comfort, but the trucks have upscale interiors with logically placed controls that are easy to use. Some of the interiors are downright luxurious, arguably the most opulent choice in the segment. There is also new tech inside, including a new version of Uconnect that runs through an optional 14.5-inch screen and a 10.25-inch dedicated screen for the front passenger. The driver benefits from a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a digital rearview mirror and dual wireless phone charging pad are available. What&#8217;s especially nice about the passenger&#8217;s screen is that the driver can&#8217;t see it when behind the wheel, and there are controls near the screen where the passenger can connect a phone and run it through the screen,
There are three cab choices: Regular, Crew, and Mega Cabs. The Mega Cab is a super-sized crew cab that’s available on the 3500. The Mega Cab has more rear legroom, as well as more cargo space behind the rear seats.

The Ram Heavy Duty has been given a significant update for the 2025 model year. Seemingly everything from the powertrain to the interior, safety and towing tech, and styling and comfort has been updated this year. And for the most part, these upgrades are to a truck that was already arguably the most comfortable and one of the most capable trucks in its class. The Ram Heavy Duty lineup is built to tow heavy trailers and carry significant payload, putting it squarely in competition with the Ford F-Series Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado HD, and GMC Sierra HD. This lineup also includes the off-road enthusiast-leaning Power Wagon and Rebel.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of heavy-duty trucks, including the Ram Heavy Duty.

There are seven trim levels, and of those, only the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/car-news/540699-autosave-v1/">Rebel and Power Wagon</a> aren’t available as 3500 trims. Within the 2500 (3/4-ton) and 3500 (1-ton) lineup, there is a choice of Regular, Crew, and Mega cab configurations, but not with every trim level. To further muddy the waters, Ram’s Big Horn trim is replaced by the Lone Star in Texas. With all but the Rebel and Power Wagon, rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard. However, you can add 4-wheel drive (4WD) as an option for around $3,000. Dual rear wheels are only available with the regular cab, which limits it to the Tradesman and Big Horn/Lone Star 3500. The priciest Ram HD is the 4-wheel-drive Ram 3500 Limited Mega Cab at $93,855.
Generally, the starting prices in this segment are highly competitive – all (<a href="https://www.kbb.com/ford/f250-super-duty-crew-cab/2025/">Ford F-Series Super Duty</a>, <a href="https://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/silverado-2500-hd-crew-cab/2025/">Chevrolet Silverado HD</a>, and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/gmc/sierra-2500-hd-crew-cab/2025/">GMC Sierra HD</a>) start within $1,000 of each other. If you don’t need to pull a massive horse trailer or a giant tree stump out of the ground, the 1/2-ton Ram 1500 starts at $42,270. It was also significantly updated for 2025.

The base engine on all trim levels is a 6.4-liter V8, with 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. With the exception of the 2500 Power Wagon, which only comes with the gas engine, the Ram 2500 and 3500 are available with a Cummins 6.7-liter inline-6 turbodiesel. Its peak horsepower is at a low 2,800 RPM. But the real headline grabber with the diesel is the torque: 1,075 lb-ft, accessible at a very low 1,800 RPM. Both use an 8-speed automatic with a column-mounted shifter. There is no more dash-mounted dial on the Heavy Duty.
As a comparison, the Ford Super Duty’s standard diesel has 1,050 lb-ft with a 1,200 lb-ft High Output option, while the Chevy/GMC equivalent makes 975 lb-ft.
<h3>Towing and Payload</h3>
The maximum towing capacity for the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty is 36,610 pounds with a gooseneck or fifth-wheel – and that’s when towing with the 3500. With the 2500, the maximum towing capacity is 20,000 pounds. The Silverado and Sierra HD can tow up to 36,000 pounds, while the segment leader is the F-350, at 38,000 pounds.
When it comes to payload, the Ram Heavy Duty maxes out at 7,590 pounds in the 3500 and 4,320 in the 2500. That compares to 7,234 in the Silverado 3500 and 3,689 pounds in the Silverado 2500. The F-250 has a payload capacity of up to 4,246 pounds, while the F-350 can carry up to 8,000 pounds of payload.
<h3>3-Year/36,000-Mile Warranty</h3>
The Ram HD’s bumper-to-bumper limited warranty protection is the class standard of three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Limited warranty coverage for the powertrain is also the segment norm’s five years or 60,000 miles.
<h3>Safety Ratings</h3>
As is the case with its rivals, the Ram HD trucks have not been submitted to any third-party crash or safety tests. Standard advanced safety technologies include forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and a surround-view camera. Front and rear parking assist, active lane management, traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection are available.

What's new for 2025

This year, the Ram Heavy Duty gets a significant update, with improvements to nearly every aspect of the truck. The front end is crisp and clean, without losing its muscular stance. All diesel-powered trucks now use an updated version of Ram&#8217;s high-output Cummins. There’s a new 8-speed automatic transmission backing both engines. Inside, a new Uconnect system runs through an available 14.5-inch screen. There’s a digital instrument cluster, as well as a screen for the front passenger. There are several safety features that are now standard, and there are new features and settings that come in especially handy when towing or on the job site.

The 2025 Fiat 500e is powered by a 117-horsepower electric motor powering the front wheels. No dual-motor, all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations are available here, and that’s okay. This is a humble subcompact hatchback mainly intended for city driving, and it excels at that duty.
Driving the 500e around city streets is a delight. Although not super powerful, it has sufficient pep for hustling between traffic lights. Its tiny footprint makes it predictably agile and easy to park in tight spaces. The ride can get a little jittery on rough roads, but that’s true of any car this small. The Fiat adequately handles highway jaunts, as well, but its 149-mile range limits its road-tripping ability.
Speaking of range, we like that it comes with what Fiat calls Sherpa Mode. Sherpa Mode uses the climate control system more efficiently and limits the top speed to get the absolute most juice possible out of the battery for times when you’re cutting it close on the range meter.
<h3>Range and Charging</h3>
The Fiat 500e’s estimated maximum range on a full charge is 149 miles with the optional summer tires and 141 miles with the standard all-season tires. Those are among the lowest range ratings of any EV on the market. Such a small car can’t fit that big of a battery inside. The bigger and more conventional Nissan Leaf also has a 149-mile range with its standard battery, but its SV Plus trim has a 212-mile range.

Charming Exterior

The exterior design is certainly a highlight of the Fiat 500e. It has one of the most expressive personalities of anything out there with four wheels. The Fiat rivals the <a href="https://www.kbb.com/mini/hardtop-2-door/">Mini Cooper</a> and <a href="https://www.kbb.com/volkswagen/id-buzz/">VW ID. Buzz</a> as one of the best executions we’ve seen of blending retro and modern styling.
The new Giorgio Armani Edition for 2025 takes the Italian identity a step further with 17-inch wheels bearing the Armani logo, a &#8220;Giorgio Armani&#8221; signature on the window trim, and two handsome paint options: Dark Green and Ceramic Greige.

Giorgio Armani Edition 
We thought the Fiat 500e couldn’t look more Italian, but then the Giorgio Armani Edition came along. This stylish appearance package includes 17-inch alloy wheels bearing the Armani logo, tasteful body-color exterior accents, and two unique paint options.
116 MPGe 
The Fiat 500e’s max range is only 149 miles, but its outstanding efficiency rating gives it low fuel costs, even by EV standards. According to EPA estimates, this electric hatchback costs less than $60/month to fuel.
DC Fast Charging 
It’s a pleasant surprise that a small and affordable EV like this has DC Fast Charging capability. Fiat claims it can charge up to 40 miles worth of range in just five minutes under ideal conditions.
Uconnect infotainment system 
The Fiat 500e has one of our favorite infotainment systems with a 10.25-inch screen, navigation, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an easy-to-use interface.
JBL audio 
Bring your music and podcasts to life with the optional JBL 6-speaker premium audio system in the Fiat 500e.
Safety tech 
A few modern safety tech features in the Fiat 500e include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, an active lane management system, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams.

Expressive Interior

We’re pleased to report that the Fiat 500e is just as adorable on the inside as it is on the outside. Italian flair abounds in this fun interior. There’s no risk of forgetting what car you’re driving; the &#8220;FIAT&#8221; logo is stitched into a pattern in the seats, and the &#8220;500&#8221; logo is on the steering wheel and upper seat backs.
