VGI (vehicle-to-grid integration) is wired or wireless communication enabling 2-way smart charging between electric vehicles (EV) and the electric power grid. An example would be initiating overnight vehicle charging when evening grid power demands subside or a grid-connected EV serving as a power source when evening grid power demands are high.
