Radar is an acronym for Radio Detection and Ranging and a technology that measures the reflection of radio waves to identify and locate objects at a distance. Scientists first developed radar at the time of World War II. In modern transportation scenarios, radar acts to detect and locate obstacles and other vehicles on the road as part of ADAS technology.
