PZEV is a Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle, defined as an automobile with zero evaporative emissions from its fuel system, carries at least a 15-year or 150,000-mile warranty on its emission-control system, and meets the EPA’s Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) tailpipe-emission standards. The term “PZEV” was first defined by the California Air Resources Board and describes extremely low-emissions internal-combustion-engine-powered vehicles.
