Power seats use electric controls to adjust the positions of the front seats. They can be moved forward or back, up or down, and tilted or reclined. Additional adjustments may include headrest height, side bolsters, thigh cushions, and more. Some cars have memory settings to save preferred positions, particularly for the driver’s seat, a bonus feature in vehicles with multiple users of different body shapes.
Power seats are standard in some vehicles, but sometimes a convenience upgrade for other models that feature manually adjustable seats but start at a lower price point. See also memory seats, power lumbar support, and telescoping steering wheel.
