Adaptive cruise control is an advanced form of cruise control that can increase or slow vehicle speeds to maintain a programmed distance from the car ahead set by the driver. Adaptive cruise control can work with other safety features like collision avoidance to come to a complete stop or traffic jam assistance to automate stop-and-go driving.
