Positive Review
I probably would not rate any vehicle a 10. Have had 0 problems with this vehicle. I'm the second owner, and know the original owner, who now has the XC60 - T6. this is the 4.4 ltr. V8. Nice Auto, and Boat motor. A friend of mine has one in his Boat. Very comfortable seating, can't beat a Volvo in my opinion. Very quick as needed. With the V8, you can get around 25 MPG highway, which isn't bad considering weight of vehicle. Would tell anyone to buy this vehicle, unless they must have a high MPG vehicle.
Critical Review
AM radio was NOT reliable and dealership could never repair for the long run, bought in 2010 and it stayed at the repair shop more than in my driveway for various reasons; service department could never repair correctly that finally regional service person found the issue but the repair only lasted a couple of years; when charging my cell phone (with cigarette lighter plug) it caused lots of static on the radio to the point you could not listen to the radio and could not plug in one charger in the front and back charger and expect them to work in both simultaneously

Great overall sedan if serviced properly. There are a few quirks that are easily fixed with some online research. The paint and leather seats are leaps and bounds above American autos. The stock stereo is better than my Bose system in my 2019 F150 lariat. We bought this for my Son in 2018 with 100,000 miles. It is 2024 and now has 135,000. Other than normal maintenance it is a wonderful car and fun to drive.
Comfortable interior, plenty of leg and head room
Uninspiring exterior, but still a nice car
The S80 might not handle as well as a BMW on twisty roads, but it has good traction control, AWD, and really good acceleration. The seats are the most comfortable in the industry. Interiors are well designed with unsealed wood trim and plenty of leather.
Best car I've every owned, Rock solid, very dependable and Safe, 35 mpg and very fast. This what GMC WISH IT WAS

DEALER COST IF NEED TO GO TO DEALER
WHEN I BUY A USED CAR, NORMALLY LOOKING FOR A PREMIUM CAR 6 YEARS OLD WITH LOW MILEAGE THAT IS REASONABLY PRICED. BOUGHT THE 2010 S80 WITH 40,000 MILES ON IT. NOW HAS 81000 AND NO MAJOR PROBLEM ALTHOUGH DID NEED TO REPLACE THE IGNITION RECENTLY. GOOD, LUXURY CAR, RIDES AND DRIVES GREAT--BEST IF YOU CAN DO THE MINOR REPAIR STUFF TO KEEP AWAY FROM THE DEALER--($175 PER HOUR; $200 FOR DIAGNOSIS REGARDLES IF OBVIOUS; NOT APPLIED TO THE COST OF THE REPAIR!)
This is a mechanically sound car. It had top of the line features in the 2008. It is safe and runs beautifully. I had new brake calipers put on this w so and the mechanic said it was a great car.
The 2007 - 2010 Volvo V8 S80 is one of the best sedans that Volvo produced. Unfortunately, they did not market it properly. It has a Yamaha V8 with 315hp. My model has heated and cooled perforated leather seats, dual climate control, heated rear seats and more. AWD is standard. Mine has adaptive suspension, which provides 3 levels of control from comfort, sport, to extreme. It is cruiser, not a canyon carver, but it is fun to drive.
Nice driving vovlo can drive it come to see it I’m in need of a car from the lot would b happy if y’all can help me out
Spacious, Comfortable, Smooth Engine, Stylish
Less than average mileage/power from 3.2 engine
I have owned this car for about 5 months and I am very pleased. I purchased this car because it had such low miles for its age, the price was good, and I wanted something nicer and bigger than my previous car. I had owned a 2009 Volvo s40 for 5 years that I thoroughly enjoyed so the s80 is essentially a nicer version of what I already liked so much. The ride is so smooth and the seats are so comfortable. At stops the engine is so smooth it doesn't even feel like it's on. I drive a pretty long commute every morning so a comfortable and safe car were top priorities. The styling is understated but still very upscale; very typically Swedish. Absolutely everything works on this car. It's easy to tell Volvo designed this car well and made it with care. My only complaint is with the engine. The 3.2 naturally aspirated straight six is very reliable and runs butter smooth but it is neither very efficient nor sporty. If you're looking for something more powerful, look for a 3.0 liter turbo straight six (T6 model) or the 4.4 liter V8. Both have significantly more power and you only sacrifice 1 mpg for these engines over the 3.2 liter. Overall I am very pleased. I drive the base model and yet it is still nicely appointed with leather seats, a sunroof, dual zone climate control, one of the best stock radios I've ever heard, and one touch automatic down/up windows. I don't dread my daily commute because this car keeps me so comfortable.
