What Owners are Saying About the 2006 Volvo S40
"Always in the shop!"
"I have had my S40 for 3 years, and it is in the shop about every three months for something or another. I have already had the transmission replaced, and the car only has 25,000 miles on it. The warranty is about to expire, and I feel I cannot keep this car without a warranty to cover all the expensive fixes. When it runs, it is a perfect car, but it is always in the shop!"
"null"
"I have never had a car with so many problems after so few miles: AC, power locks, brakes, airbag, engine. In one year, I have taken this car in for repairs seven times."
"A seriously fun and quirky car"
"The Volvo S40 is rather undeniable in its own quirky way. It isn’t particularly fast (at least not in the 2.4 configuration that I own) but it is very nimble and fun to drive. Keep the power band between 3000-5000rpm and the car has good torque with the 5 cylinder producing around 170hp. The steering is precise and the car feels well planted; albeit a front wheel drive car and the limitations that naturally come with. I haven’t had a single issue in the 8 months of ownership and I’m very pleased with the car. Would definitely recommend. My car also has upgraded rims, spoiler, red calipers and sport package. Very sweet ride to boot."
