Positive Review
I love this car. I drove all of the hard tops on the market before deciding on the Volvo, the main reason was because "it's a Volvo." I have owned it for 1 year and 1 month and have had it served 11 times for a roof rattle. They finally determined it was an upholstery pin that was loose, removed all the upholstery, replaced the pins and 6 weeks later, it started again. I now am the proud owner of a $45,000 car that I can't stand to drive unless the top is down...no one at volvo seems to care that this all started within 2 weeks of driving it off the lot.
Critical Review
This was intended to be our "fun" car, replacing a MINI Cooper S. We previously owned a 97 Volvo 850 T5 Wagon for 12 years and LOVED it. The C70 is very smooth to drive and it looks great. It's a great car for cruising. Unfortunately, that's about it for the positives. It's very tight on the inside, not much room for storage, my head touches the top and I'm 6'. The lighting in center console is difficult to read in the daylight. Controls are confusing and not intuitive. This is not a sports car, it's very nose-heavy and is not happy about changing direction quickly. The seats lack any lumbar adjustment, I find my back hurts after an hour or so in the car. Many other reviews rave about the convertible hardtop being a technological marvel. Mine's been back to the dealer 3 times in 3 months and still rattles like an old beater with 200,000 miles. The dealer is more interested in getting their loaner back as quickly as possible instead of making sure my car is fixed properly. We are definately NOT HAPPY with this vehicle.

Despite having some weird little quirks, this car hauls, looks awesome, drives so smoothly, and the sound system is amazing. The handling is great and it is so fun to drive on the highway with the top down. Cons - Radio is not replaceable, akward controls and radio.
Looks good.
Worst car I've ever had
I was looking for my next car on the web and there it was. Passion red, turbo, hard top convertible. Looked like a million bucks. Bought it online from 500 miles away. When it was delivered it was just what I wanted. Until the never ending cascade of repairs started. I was the 3rd owner.. it was a little older... An 08. Had 140k. No problem if it was cared for right? Lol. "Volvos last forever" they said. I've put 10,000 miles on it and had to replace and repair the following list... Turbo intercooler hoses Gear sensor module Upper and lower coolant hoses Coil packs All 4 speakers blew Front axles Front shocks and struts Serpentine belts. There are 2 Both tensioners for those belts MAF sensor PCV valve hose and valve Rear shocks 4 new tires Currently a problem with the convertible top is developing and the timing belt still needs replaced. That's only another couple grand. What a blast it's been.
Classic non dated styling..Safe and fun to drive

This car is a bottle rocket...Love the fact that with the top up there is no hint it is a convertible.. No bulging trunk lid...Luv this car...
I've had this vehicle for over six months, bought it with 32k miles on it as the third owner. The steering took a little getting used to as it is very soft and at first felt like steering a boat. My vehicle has the Polestar package upgrade, which boosts the horsepower and torque, and this car will easily cruise past others on the freeway when you put the pedal down. The trunk is huge when the top is not down, providing plenty of cargo space for traveling. Plan on keeping this for several years given its low mileage and excellent condition.
fun to drive and easy to see out of

Great car. Love the hard top convertible. Easy to drive and fun to drive especially in the warm months
After 13 years of ownership, no repairs!
Navigation isn’t easy to use.
Great car! I love that this car as it is two cars in one. When top is up, it feels as tight as a regular hardtop, but with push of a button, top can go down! Great gas mileage, as well as lots of power when you step on it! Car hugs the road and feels very safe, with pop up roll bars. Great in snow and ice for size with the front wheel drive!

I loveeee this car. Have had it since it was a pup (13 yrs). Because I usually ride with my hubby, it has low mileage (75k). I have taken perfect care of it and it looks brand new. I will keep this car until one of us croaks. The only mechanical problem is that the header for the top came apart. Don't understand why they stopped making them. Would definitely buy a new one. Most stylish model that Volvo ever made, It is comfortable. Has lots of getup. Gets good gas mileage. Love it!!!
A great car with no problems and many compliments!
Lights on low beams don't give off enough light.
This is one of my favorite, most reliable cars I've ever owned. Front wheel drive for the winter, drop top for the summer, enough power for all types of driving, and it drives on regular unleaded. My C70 had all the options. The upgraded audio system makes everyone hear you coming and the flip up navigation screen is very easy to get use to. A 16 year old pulled in from of me and I totaled my car. My wife and I had our seat belts on and we walked out of the car like we were going to the grocery store. The engine folded up like an accordion, everything was smashed from the front quarter panel to the door. Both doors still worked and closed like they should!! I'm a true believer in the safeness of my Silver Bullet, my C70!!!
