Positive Review
Let me first say, this is my 14th VW over the years. Mostly driving the Passat or Jetta. This car is absolutely fantastic! It is the best VW produced since the Phaeton (and I own one too). The Phaeton was VW’s highest end US sedan and it failed-but still one of the best. The Arteon is following in those footsteps when it comes to quality, craftsmanship, and overall handling but on a smaller scale. The Arteon definitely stands out in the crowd. The Arteon is sophisticated and I would say, in a class by itself. VW owners may remember this feeling with the 2004-2005 Passats. The Arteon has so much more. VW has brought the German drive feel back to the sedan in this car as they have become so Americanized over the years. The Arteon handles well and the seats alone are reason to buy. The seats are amazingly comfortable yet functional, stylish, and handsome. Some of the expert reviews are not favorable of this car but I don’t care. That’s not my experience. Read the consumer reviews-they are almost all 5 stars. The warranty is unmatched for 2019. Oh-I own the 2019 Arteon SEL Premium R line. As far as mpg, yes it could be better, but considering this car is 4 motion all wheel drive with a little extra weight, I think the mpg is spot on. My average is about 32 on highway which is better than expected. Drive this car is sports mode for more fun! Please go drive one. It’s the next best car to the Phaeton hands down. Remember-the Arteon looks sporty so your driving expectation may be that is is fast and quick maneuvering. While it does have some of those qualities, this car is a cruiser and you will be very happy whether in the car for 15 minutes or 15 hours.

I leased this off the showroom floor and still love the way it looks and drives after 42 months, 36k miles. Never had a vehicle that received this much interest from other folks. Other than the dealer installing a new AC compressor in the first 6 months, the car has had no issues, the all wheel drive really grips the road, avg 30 mpg highway. Lease is ending and may just buy this one.
Fast reliable car, beautiful interior and exterior
Software looks outdated. Can use a facelift.
This is a great car. As the review mentioned it is an easy ride that is well balanced. The digital cockpit is very user friendly. As my wife says it is like driving an Audi A7 without paying the price. The spacious cargo space is great for people with kids that have to move them to dorms or drive around with lots of sports gear. One item I noticed is that the review mentions that it comes as a 7 speed automatic. However the specs on my R-Line SEL premium mentions an 8 speed dual clutch. The same as in a GTI. This makes 0-60mph in Sports mode in 4.4 seconds which is very fast for a large heavy car.
Comfort, Space, Power
Rims, Fog lights, Keyless FOB Range
This car is an unicorn in the sedans class. Aesthetics are incredibly elegant. The materials are upscaled to an Audi sibling. Comfortable and fun to drive. The functionality checked all the right boxes yes, but doesn't not perform as many of the premium brands. Ventilated seats works perfect, seats position provide a wide range. Stereo is incredible good and that is about it. Massaging seat is sloppy and turns of by itself. Digital cluster lacks essential information, navigation isn't bad at all but finding the code to reach the right address requires programming skills. The infotainment works as expected if you forget about the gesture commands. And wireless Android Auto keeps disconnecting on specific locations. But at least is proportional and symmetric on the dash. Not like those disgusting floating screens. The engine is extreme and intense for a sedan. The transmission is impressive but requires engagement to reach the full capabilities. Do not expect the dual clutch to do everything right by itself. For some unknown reason the cooling fan will stay operational some times after turning off the unit. You will deeply miss fog lights as they just don't exist. And be sure to select a beautiful aftermarket 19 inches rims, as the factory 20s will be eager to flat you tires on every small opportunity the get. This car is es as beautifully as a sedan can get. But comes with big sacrifice on functionality. Which you will quickly forget once you step on the gas a find out how enjoyable it feels at high speed. Do what you want but take this into account. Those 20 inches will keep you bussy replacing tires. Change those to 245/40/R20. Those will make all better. But not the spare, because it will not fit the designated space.
Sexy good looks, roominess, comfort, acceleration
No Home Link, Premium fuel
I’ve owned and driven this car for almost two years now and it hasn’t disappointed me yet. I get so many compliments on its looks and feel. I too added a stage 1 upgrade by APR and WOW, it beats everything in its class…handily. So it negates the only complaint about “turbo lag” and being “underpowered”. It will put a smile on your face every time you hit the gas. I’m 6’1 and needed a comfortable, quiet, roomy car to accommodate my family on occasion but something daddy will look cool in and something I can shame all those “tuners” who think this car is too big to move this fast. Additionally, it’s loaded, (Premium, R-line, 4motion) did I mention it will parallel park itself like a champ. Auto lift gate with a secret access under the VW badge. A full size spare and subwoofer to boot. It has grown on me over time, I went from I think this is a pretty cool car to I freaking love my car. Pearl black on black rims with some tinted head lights and the question asked by everyone who sees it is “What are you driving?”😁 Pros: Acceleration, Styling, Sound, Roominess and all the compliments I get. Cons: No Home Link to open my garage, (optional but come on, I bought the top of the line) and Premium fuel. Thanks Joe B for not so cheap gas.
This car is an Audi with a Volkswagen nameplate. I have the top trim level, SEL Premium R Line 4 Motion. Love it. Luxurious, amazingly appointed, quiet luxurious ride, acoustically perfect stereo, great performance and spacious backseat. A true secret gem in the car world. I get head turns daily. I have had more compliments in this car than any car I have ever had. I have had two Mercedes, Cadillac, and 37 other cars. I love this Arteon. If you’re thinking about one, just do it. You will love it.
Confy ride, don't lose the power even if your over 100 mph, The handling is great for this price, The suspension is great,

I decided to try the Arteon and have really enjoyed everything about it. It has everything I need in a vehicle and I have received many compliments from other motorists while traveling. Purchased my car at Leith Volkswagon in Cary and everyone there has been exceptional from sales to service.
Fun to drive
Need more power
Beautiful car and style and updated. This car is very futuristic and I lot of fun to drive. So many people ask me what kind of car I'm driving, its a eye catcher.
