Positive Review
I have seen a lot of comments that Sequoia has lousy mileage... Bottom line, if you want a vehicle this capable, in this price range, then mileage should really not be a factor. I get about 16 all around. Reality is, if you are looking for a vehicle that has a huge towing capacity, a vehicle this luxurious, with all these amenities, you will be hard pressed to find an alternate. i compared the Sequoia limited to a Tahoe... Tahoe was smaller, had a larger turning radius, smaller engine, smaller brakes and was noisier. comparably equipped, Tahoe was actually higher price. 5 year residual.. not even close. Tahoe towing capacity is overstated as is its actual real world mileage. Get your tax deduction on this truck.
Critical Review
I have purchased this vehicle new - Platinum. The 2nd day of ownership all the safety sensors started malfunctioning. Rear cross traffic, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, breaking assist - collision prevention. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer and 2 months later is still not fixed, with no ETA in site. This is happening not only in Platinum models, but also on Limited 18 models. I do regret buying this vehicle. Toyota reliability is just a legend. My first and last Toyota.

Copious amounts of space. Bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine. Reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission.
None for me.
Glad I purchased a new 2nd generation 2021 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro employing that bulletproof naturally aspirated 3UR-FE 5.7 liter V-8 engine and reliable 6 speed Aisan transmission prior to this fiasco of TTV6s/I-4s cylinder deactivation, stop start debacles.
Very roomie. Power steering is great and has a very smooth ride. Have had this car 10 yrs and just drove from Tx to Florida and back with no problem. AC still works great. Highway miles it actually gets decent miles.

We bought this car a year ago used. The power is perfect even when it is fully loaded down with our whole family of 6 and sams club packed trips. We have already had to use the locking differential on a skiing trip and it handled it like a dream when compared to my brothers 3500 Duramax (2019) and my dads 2012 Tundra. We plan on having this car for a very long time. You can't go wrong with owning a Toyota like this.
Spacious car with very strong engine, very good feel driving on the freeway with 22s Trd rims with corsa exhaust pipes combined.

Big family and so comfortable Fun to drive,Turns on a dime.Easy to clean,4 wh.drive works great, very nice
I'll say it's earilly similar to my 07 tundra but that might be why I bought it actualy... Had a Ford for 2 years in between could not wait to go back to a Toyota and this Sequoia rides nicer than my tundra. I have no doubt I'll own this for ten years
Toyota 5.7 V8, Ride Comfort, Cargo Room
Infotainment Screen
After owning Tundra pickups for 21 years I can give an honest comparison between the two vehicles. All of my trucks were double cabs. The 2022 Sequoia has an incredible amount of space inside. The engine and transmission are the same as the 5.7 Tundra. The ride is much smoother thanks to the Fox 2.0 shocks and the IRS and the wheel base is about two feet shorter. This shorter wheel base makes the Sequoia much easier to drive and park in city traffic and parking garages. With a camper shell the Tundra does not allow as easy access to the cargo area as the Sequoia. I never have to climb inside to get items out of the back. The real world MPG is about 1 mpg less than the Tundra. I don't mind since I have a good paying job and can afford the gas. I travel many thousands of miles each year for my job and I wanted a vehicle I could strech out and sleep in while still having all of my cargo out of the weather and secured. The Sequoia fits that to a T. I like the fact the grill raises up with the hood like the 2007-2013 Tundras. it is easier to check the oil and other fluids under the hood. I like the sliding console lid. It gives more options for arm placement on long trips. The seats are comfortable and the 14 speaker JBL sound system sounds great to me. I am a low tech person so apple car play is not something I will not be using. The screen for the infotainment system is smaller than my 2019 Tundra. The gas tank is only 26 gallons and not the 38 gallon upgrade available in the Tundra. I can still get about 340 miles on a tank of gas which is enough. I really like the wind chill pearl paint over the super white. My Sequoia came with zero chrome. Another plus for me. The auto dimming side mirrors with turn signal indicators are really nice at night. Overall this vehicle should serve my needs for many years to come. The reviews I've read about the dated design and ancient power train seem to come from folks trying to get a Lexus for the price of a Toyota. Yes some of the features are the same as my 2007 Tundra. I look at it this way; if is isn't broken don't try to fix it. If a buyer wants the look or tech of a GM or Ford then buy the GM or Ford vehicle. Toyota has been producing, improving, and perfecting the 5.7 liter engine and 6 speed transmission since 2007. It is a smooth and powerful combination with the Toyota reliability all in one package.

Best vehicle I have owned. Ride, handling, is the best. I would recommend this to anyone wanting safety of a big vehicle. The extra gas is worth it.
