Positive Review
My family owned this pickup for over 20 years and have never had 1 breakdown by engine. Only major repairs were a replaced clutch and transmission leak sealed up. Once the battery overflowed with acid and ate through a corde. That was the only I have ever had it not start up for me. If you need it as a daily driver it gets good gas(20 MPG-25 MPG), okay cost to fuel up with a 12 gallon tank. If you need it to tow and transport thing, this pickup is stronger than it looks and can get the job done. This pickup is perfect example of Toyota vehicles having the ability to last you a long time at 151,900 miles it just now feels like the engine is being broke in. One the nice things about it is when a snow storm hits, once you chain up and fill the back with wait like sandbags or shovel it full of snow. This pickup will go everywhere.

CLEAN IN GOOD CONDITION, SOME DENTS, HIGH MILAGE, NEEDS TIRES. WHITE PAINT, FRONT SEAT TORN, NEEDS A FULL TUNE UP AND SERVICE
Motor seems good, never let me down, son in law bought it New. Not used much in the last few years, farm truck, starts easy,
Needs box, rear window, windshield . Transfer case is questionable but it may just need u-joints, cab has a dent top right corne
Runs, turn the key and it starts. Shifts good in 2 wheel drive, clunky sound going into 4 wheel. Rear window is out. Windshield is cracked, bed is rusted out, tailgate dented, interior --- seats fair, dash is good, windows roll up and down,
Runs Great, low maintenance, easy 4WD switch
Small cab not good for larger people
I'm the second owner of my xtra cab and it's amazing. It has 260K miles and still runs like a dream. I never want to get rid of it
Easy to work on
Transmission feels like it needs a 6th gear
I think everyone knows by now that the Japanese automaker has been making well made trucks since the beginning. You see an old Toyota truck on the road more often than any other brand. I would definitely recommend the Toyota brand.
Lasts longer than you do
Have to sell it to get something new. Won’t break!
When I say best I mean reliable, long lasting and can take a beating! I’ve seen these things with over 350kmi with substantial lifter noise and engine knock, stuff falling apart and still running and still getting oil changed 8yrs laters. Mine currently has just over 140k, I’m second owner. I’m stopped in parking lots constantly with $8-10k offers. These are in the top 20 most collectible vehicles for 2023. My last offer was $12k for the condition mine is in looks to be closer to $15-20k for collectors this year. Could be a nice “come-up” for some of you 😉
Gas saver
Small truck
250,000 miles and still have no issues with truck. Its small but built to last. Best truck I've had.
Owned since 2001, just now letting her go with 290,000 miles and many more to go. New owner is thrilled.
Boxed frame. AISIN hard parts #1in weight class.
T-gear/water pump maint pricey to *have done.
92 xtra cab, 4x4 manual lock, 5sp manual, 3.0l V6 (head gasket warranty fulfilled), 3" lift, 33Rx15x12.5, AC, PWR/Tilt Steer, 220000 mi. Bought new w Toy installed, Les Schwab sourced, lift/tires. Driver seating (6ft+) managable~ w tilt. Norm maint. Hwy 30mpgs~ w 33R. City mpgs driven w/o load good. Boxed frame strong. No rust/surface rust due to use. Beds, like all w/o spray coating, get surface rust. From moutains in N.Cal and feets of snow/rocks, driven 3000 mi medium load (canopy) to W. Kentucky's dirt/mud, never failed. Pulled F250s outta snow w just chain. WONT EVER SELL. If you're looking used, receipts for recent T-gear/water pump a must (maintinace bit pricey for labor). Whats more to say!
