If you’re looking for a fuel-efficient small car with cutting-edge technology both in the cabin and under the hood, the 2019 Toyota Prius Prime deserves your full attention. On short trips, the Prius Prime behaves like any other electric car, but its combined gas/electric 600-mile range makes it far more practical.
The Chevrolet Volt offers the same benefits of a plug-in hybrid with twice the electric-only range of the Prius Prime. If you need room for five, the standard Prius or even the larger Camry Hybrid might be a better choice.
