Positive Review
I've had my 08 Limited Highlander for about a month now, and still have absolutely no complaints! (well, actually, one it's black, but with the deal I got it being a limited, I had to take it). I drove the domestic wanna-be of the Highlander first before I drove this, and it was nice, but then I got in the Highlander and never looked anywhere else. I do a lot of research before purchasing a vehicle and this was on my list. My mom has an 06 Hybrid Ltd Highlander, and she loves hers. This one is a bit bigger, thankfully, than hers, as I have three children still in carseats. I traded my van (which people think I'm crazy) for this and I couldn't be happier. The back seat is fine and have no problems with the kids getting in and out. They have plenty of space and so do average size adults. As always, Toyota goes above the rest in their seating..always comfortable. This Highlander drives like a dream...smooth as silk. I am averaging about 22-24 mpg, and I drive both city and highway. I don't get into it, although it does when I want it to, and I think that's good for the amount of HP it has. I cannot think of one bad thing with this vehicle. I paid a hefty price for it, but having owned both foreign and domestic vehicles, it is well worth the price. I would highly recommend this to anyone, both large familes and not--this is a luxury vehicle without the high price tag!
Critical Review
The car is great for the family and long trips, but we wish we never had bought it. We have owned this car about a year and intermittingly the power steering goes out. The power steering is controlled by the computer and it does not function properly. This has put our family in unsafe situations. We can not recommend this car to anyone. We now own a car we are afraid to drive!

Super reliable
Road noise
Oil changes and brake pads. Nothing else over 70K miles and multiple moves around the globe with this car.
Easy to drive and low maintenance
Some of the paint chipped off, had to have it repainted
I purchased this car new in 2012. Liked the white exterior and tan leather seats and the look of the car. Always felt safe driving this car because it was easy to drive, sits up high, lots of windows that makes your ability to see other drivers, etc. Never have any problems with this car and very happy with it all the way around!
My 08 V6 Highlander has been an awesome vehicle. I have been very thorough on preventative maintenance and as such the Highlander has required very little corrective maintenance. It has around 237K miles on it, the only non original parts are the suspension, which was replaced at 215K miles.
The car is in good working condition not afraid to take it on 1,000mille trip The car has been well cared for and has no problems that I aware of and would buy a newer year model at a value.
This has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned! It’s my covered truck; my packing van; my baseball team bus; and luxury travel choice. You can drive this SUV all day and still feel relaxed at the end of the day. I also love the smooth ride and sitting just a little above the traffic.
GOOD CONDITION, WELL MAINTAINED. 250,000 MILES. IT DRIVES VERY WELL, I'VE HAD VERY FEW PROBLEMS WITH IT. REGULAR OIL CHANGES AND TIRE ROTATIONS. THE INSIDE HAS BEEN KEPT CLEAN. NO SPILLS ETC.
Great value for your investment
