"A fun and economical road trip hybrid"

I would've never thought that a small hybrid, let alone any small car, would be this much a joy to own and drive. But not only is the CH super economical, but it's also a great car to play with on the roads. The handling and grip is surprisingly potent, yet doesn't sacrifice ride quality and comfort to achieve this. And whenever you're inside, there's quite a good number of tech goodies that will keep you busy and informed. The only flaws with the CH is that while the acceleration gets the job done around town, you will struggle to keep up at freeway speeds, even in power mode. And while the rear seating area is big overall, the legroom is quite pinched. But other than this, the CH is a stylish and tidy compact hybrid that's difficult to fault.

Critical Review

"It’s a simple car"

One word for me to describe this car is “Simple”. Here are the Pros, 1) This car Save you A lot of money on gas. 2) It can get you from point A to B. This car can probably go far. 3) the inside has a decent size For a small car 4) lots of space in the back trunk 5) easy to clean the dashboard and 8inch screen Area 6) the car give you a score on how good/bad you are driving. Here are the Cons 1) The car makes a loud noise when you are on the break paddle for a long period of time. When at a stop sign, the car growl and make loud noises. 2) the dashboard is to high, if you are short you probably need a Pillow or a high seat to see Wish they could have made the dashboard a little bit lower. 3) The 8 inch screen is too distracting. they could have put the 8 inch screen below where you could turn on the air conditioning is. 4) the ubs cord to charge your phone is in a wired location. 5) once in a while, when turning the car on, you will see an update on the screen. This is A requirement to update the software weather you like it or not. 6) the car is too low so be careful going on the curb, you might scratch the bottom of the car. 7) The quality Is subpar. 8) small compartment. Overall it’s not that bad, but it does save you a lot of Money on gas!

Very reliable!
Pros

Gas efficient

Cons

It can take a moment to speed up on the highway but not concern. It’s very good for its value as a starter car.

Had my 2025 Corolla since November 2024. Very efficient on gas, only using it for city driving and some highway driving. A full tank of gas lasts me 2.5-3 weeks. Car runs very smooth, no issues so far.

It's all about the gas mileage
Pros

Great styling and gas mileage.

Cons

None so far.

Purchased 2 weeks ago and am enjoying the 40 mpg. Pretty sporty and much more power than the 2008 Corolla I had previously. It's an XSE with the leather interior package. Love it!

Love my little Rolla’
Pros

Comfortable, Reliable, Safe, and economical.

Cons

A little sluggish, no power seats, and no blind spot monitors.

The first word that comes to mind when I think of the Corolla is reliability. I believe this car will run well over 200k easily without any major mechanical issues at that. I love the simplicity of driving my Corolla. When I get into my partners jeep and drive I just keep thinking about how I rather be in my corolla LOL. Contrary to what some others have said I find my car to be extremely comfortable (I’m also a smaller guy, 5’10 140 pounds) but I can definitely see the legroom in the back seat not being enough for most people to sit comfortably. The only other things I’d complain about, is the get up and go speed/power could definitely use a little extra boost lol. I made the mistake of getting the base LE model instead of the SE with sport mode which would’ve mitigated that concern for me. So anyone wanting to be able to pick up and go a little faster i’d recommend the SE model to which has the sport mode. The two other things: The base LE model doesn’t have heated mirrors (ridiculous I know) but the higher trims do. Second, the backup camera kinda sucks. The resolution could definitely be better and it annoys me because the cameras they have on the Camrys are perfect. But it does do its job. Also no blind spot monitors on the base LE either. I’m only including these smaller details because for me personally had I been a little smarter and researched/evaluated the base LE I would’ve went with the SE most definitely. This is my first brand new car so I was just excited being young and didn’t really think. Lesson learned haha. Hopefully I was able to help someone else out who may be thinking (or not thinking) the way I was.

BEWARE ! Battery died in 4 months from purchase

I bought a brand new 2024 Toyota Corolla 'in cash' and I actually loved it! Then after only 4 months the battery completely died !! I had to have my car towed from my residence to their service department . Toyota would not replace the battery as it's not under warranty?!?? Ridiculous !! When purchasing a brand new car you should have peace of mind from any mechanical or any other issues !! I didn't even get half a year!! So to recap my title caption, BEWARE !

Just One Review

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR
Pros

cute, a lot of compliments on the color

Cons

everything

hello. this will be a long review, it’ll be worth reading if you’re thinking about getting this stupid car. i am a fairly small person, so i was fine with a smaller sedan, and i wanted something reliable and new with a fresh look and good for daily driving. i fell in love with this car when i first got it. however, after 3 years of this piece of garbage that toyota calls a corolla, and 74,000 miles later i want to rip it apart. to start with, the smaller things. the car is small. if you’re a bigger person, you don’t want this car. for one, every single bump in the road feels like a crater. it’s low profile tires, and stuff suspension makes it impossible for a comfortable commute. it doesn’t bother me too bad, but over the years, it has gotten extremely uncomfortable and quite literally feels like you’re riding in an ATV. sure, you can ride curves, and you can go fairly quick in the car, but it’s so uncomfortable. you will feel your entire body come out of the seat with one bump. it also needs an alignment super easily because of it. not because you hit a pothole and knocked it out of alignment, because i do NOT go fast in this car, but quite literally a bump will knock it out of alignment. fair warning. the car is also light weight, so a spec of wind will knock it into the emergency lane. it’s not good in the rain, and it is surely not good in snow. it is made extremely cheap. you can hear cracks and creaks in the interior like no other. parts on the exterior are breaking for no reason. i haven’t hit anything, i haven’t ran into a hole or anything, there are pieces that just fall off, due to the cheaply made car. this car is almost 30,000 dollars. DO BETTER. the entire front bumper is about to come off, because “the clips are bad.” yet, every time i took it to a shop or dealer, no one was able to pinpoint how the clips were bad, or why the clips are bad. so your value, is completely toilet. you will end up in the hole. the car does not have safety features. you cannot even check your tire pressure in this car. you don’t have the luxury of blind spot feature, nothing like the other toyotas offer, it’s very basic. but that’s not the big issue, either, that’s just something to complain about. THE BIG ISSUE: so now, would yall like to talk about the biggest issue? the fact of it is that this car comes with an automatic transmission, with a rarity of a few manuals. the automatic transmission is a CVT transmission, so you can only imagine what i’m going to tell you. it is my fault i did not research the CVT’s however, with toyota’s five star reliability ratings i didn’t research much. at 28,000 miles, my car’s transmission started slipping, and it died on me sitting at a red light. it was very hard and a huge safety concern when i tried to get it off the highway. it needed a new transmission. at 72,000 miles i was told my transmission was leaking fluid onto the axle. so, it was replaced at 74,000 miles due to my commute to work and school, and toyota dealership did not give me a rental and deemed it safe to drive until my transmission came in. once the new one was put in, within two weeks of having it, it is now back in the shop due to the transmission leaking AGAIN, and my car would almost stall going up a hill before throwing a “steering abnormality” code. so now, three transmissions later, im exploding. never again toyota. their cvt transmissions are jokes, their “rare” cars are jokes, and so are online ratings from bots. do. not. get. this. car. if you find one. they’re discontinued for a reason.

Worse Car I've ever Purchased Brand New
Pros

Looks a little stylish on the exterior

Cons

Cheap parts inside and outside, not reliable, bad engine computer, horrible brand service

Bought this car brand new at 0 miles. At 40k miles the ECU (Engine Computer Unit) started malfunctioning and draining the battery every 4 months, I had to take it to Toyota so they could reset the values on the computer every time the battery died. This car had a recall that I received in October 2023 regarding the engine computer stalling the car while driving. I took it to Toyota and they supposedly upgraded the software but that did not change the issues. When the temperature became too hot or too cold the ECU would malfunction and stop the engine in the middle of drives while not allowing me to go over 40 miles. I've taken it multiple times to Toyota for the same recurring problem and they never fixed it. They said Toyotas are the most reliable cars and this was my first and worse purchase ever. I'll never buy a Toyota again.

regrets
Pros

Corolla has good resale value

Cons

Problems with software, cheap plastics, defects in ignition

I have had several problems with the car, in a short time. First, I went through water and the plastic panels under the car tore off. The panels were very expensive, and cheaply made. Next, a problem with the key that took 5 visits to the dealership to get repaired. The car was unsafe to drive, and it took months to get an ignition replacement. There were problems with software, not all dealerships had the remedy, so I had to live with a defect that caused the stereo/navigation to reset intermittently constantly. The tires are cheap and are mostly worn out, despite only 38,000 miles on them. Also, incompetent technicians at two of the 3 dealerships that I went to. I regret buying the car, and should have gotten a honda.
