Positive Review

"Excellent!!!"

I am really impressed this this new Corolla Cross. Picked it up a few days ago and loving it! Smooth and comfortable, oozing with quality. Reliability and resale value were also important to me. Highly recommend this vehicle!

Critical Review

"Underpowered and overpriced"

Test drove LE in Clermont FL and car struggled climbing small incline and engine struggled. Nice car but needs bigger engine than Corolla had, maybe due to weight of over 3100 lbs. Dealer also wanted $4,000 over MSRP. Said Toyota is worth more than any other car. Have owned 8 Toyotas and never paid more than it would have costed for different car. I also checked and Kia and VW are asking MSRP and dealer fee of $499 to $99[

Corolla Cross 2024 L Review: A Reliable, Practical
Pros

Reliable, Practical, and Comfortable

Cons

Slow

Corolla Cross 2024 L Review: A Reliable, Practical, and Comfortable Choice I’ve been driving the 2024 Corolla Cross L (gas version) for 12,000 miles, including 10,000 miles on highways in just three months, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. Here’s why: What I Needed in a Car: 1. Reliability: A vehicle that performs in all conditions—snow, rain, or shine. 2. Safety: Peace of mind for daily commutes and long trips. 3. Durability: An engine that’s built to last, even in extreme scenarios. 4. Affordability: A car that offers great value for money. 5. Fuel Efficiency: I’m getting 39 mpg on highways and 33 mpg in the city, which is excellent. 6. Spaciousness and Maneuverability: Ample space with easy handling. 7. Comfortable Ride: Great seating position, no discomfort during long drives, and a smooth ride. 8. Simple Interior Design: A clean, functional dashboard without unnecessary flair. The Corolla Cross ticks all these boxes. Driving Experience: The Corolla Cross is not about high-performance thrills but about practicality, reliability, and comfort. It’s perfect for someone with a 9-to-5 lifestyle who wants a hassle-free vehicle for commuting and long drives. Addressing Common Misconceptions: 1. Highway Performance: Some say it struggles on highways—this is entirely false. I’m a frequent highway driver, and the Corolla Cross performs exceptionally well. Overtaking is smooth, stability is excellent, and there’s no sign of struggle at highway speeds. 2. Acceleration and Engine Sound: While it’s not a sports car, the Corolla Cross provides adequate acceleration for city and highway driving. The engine does make some noise during acceleration, but it’s quiet once cruising. This is typical of direct fuel injection engines and is not an issue. It’s designed for efficiency and comfort, not racing. 3. Interior Quality: The interior might not have soft-touch materials, but it’s durable and well-built. There’s no rattling, and the plastics feel sturdy and long-lasting—perfect for a vehicle designed to go the distance. Final Thoughts: The Corolla Cross L is an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable, simple, and comfortable car that’s easy to maintain and great for daily use. It’s not meant to cater to thrill-seekers or luxury enthusiasts, but for practical drivers, it’s a perfect fit. Test drive one yourself, and you’ll see how well it meets the needs of everyday drivers. has context menu

The quality you expect from a Toyota is here
Pros

Great style, 45+ mpg, loads of features

Cons

Cheap OEM tires

We have been buying Toyotas for 45 years now so we are very familiar with the quality of the brand and this our latest purchase is no exception. We have found that this car is delivering exactly what the brand is known for, reliablity and value. With 8800 miles on the odometer now there has been zero issues and an average of 45.5 mpg under multiple driving conditions.

Great Smaller SUV

We had a Toyota RAV4, but were having trouble climbing in and out of it, so we went to look at the Corolla Cross. We had no idea it even existed, but really liked it and found it easier to get in and out of, so we went for it. So far, so good. It makes all kinds of cute noises and has a lot of bells and whistles, most of which we are still discovering. I highly recommend this vehicle. You can't go wrong with a Toyota.

The Safety feature gives me a senior citizen comfort & security! I got an XLE 2024. One of the reasons I chose this SUV even if I shall say, I know the road🤔

Pros

XSE loaded

Cons

Back seat leg room.

I traded a 2021 Camry Hybrid getting 52 MPG. So. I was concerned that the Cross only averaged 42 MPG. After 800 miles I am averaging 48 MPG. Obviously the way the car is driven makes the difference, but this is a nice turn of events. The comfort and ride are an upgrade over the Camry.

Worst car I ever had
Pros

Color and gas mileage

Cons

Ride very sluggish ..nterior poor quality & design

I traded in my CH-R b/c it was being discontinued. wish I was told that when I brought the car...The Corolla has the worse ride ever. There is no power, when you do, you just hear the engine take the back seat before it goes into gear. The interior is poorly made, low quality. I found out that there are a lot subscriptions on the car that's going to expire. The salesman never said anything nor would I ever think of asking for all the cars that I have brought. Now, I have to pay for them. The car has been in the shop five times not counting the recalls. The only nice about the car is the color. Buyer beware!! Very disappointed in Toyota. I will never buy one again, even though I've had them in the past. Now, I have to wait three years, no way.

Worst car, so much underperforming.
Pros

It is made by Toyota which is over-hyped brand

Cons

The whole vehicle is a piece of junk

On highway, one could easily feel that it is so underpower SUV. No drive comfort, CVT makes sluggish noises. It has bad suspensions, one could feel small road cracks. Dash board is also cheap plastic. Not worth the price. This car doesn't deserve $22k+ price. It is a junk. Not worth it.
