Positive Review
We traded in our 2006 BMW 750li for the 2013 Avalon. Maintenance was just costing too much for our BMW and the extended warranty ended. We decided to buy a Toyota/Lexus as we have owned a Lexus in the past which was very reliable. The problem was going from a 750li to a Toyota was going to be hard luxury wise and we didn't want to pay Lexus price tag. After test driving the Avalon we were happy with the price, ride, and luxury. First time that I bought a car without having any buyers remorse. Feels like we did a sensible purchase and got the car we wanted.
Critical Review
It was love at first sight but now I'm getting to a point I may regret it. The headliner is peeling already, is this the quality of Toyota coming too. The dealership didn't give an explanation why it is happening, but did order a new headliner. I drove to Virginia and back. As soon as I hit the highway I was shocked with the noise I heard in the cabin, on my return at one point there was a lot of noise coming from the front windshield. I took the car to the dealership and the service supervisor advised the car is driving as designed the noise is normal, I refuse to accept that and Toyota is really not doing anything. A car as expensive as the Avalon should be whisper quite on the highway and it is not. TOYOTA should investigate and fix the problem. I expected much better much better quality and request other drivers to post their reviews if they have the same issue with the cabin noise.

I have a 2007 toyota sienna with 180,000 miles and a new 2020 Kia Sedona. I have also had different types of cars in the past, Subaru, Honda, Land Rover, Camaro. I needed another used high quality vehicle as I’m not interested in paying the high price for a new vehicle so I started doing a LOT of research and was going to go for a newer used Camry to maintain that Toyota long lasting reliability as my Sienna, but by pure accident I discovered this 2014 Avalon and I ended up purchasing one in mint condition with 30K miles. To make this review really short, I LOVE this Avalon. Same engine and AWESOME bullet proof six speed transmission as my Sienna. I HATE the eight speed transmission in the new Kia Sedona. This Avalon is very smooth and powerful and the sucker takes off quickly. LOVE that!!! I did not want a four cylinder car. I have never driven an older Avalon model but I do believe people saying that car is smoother and more comfortable, but, my Sienna is also very comfortable and I have zero complaints with my Avalon so I really don’t understand why some Avalon drivers say this 2014 is “not as good” as older models. No kidding, this newer baby is more sporty, which I personally love, yet it is still very comfortable. Personally I’m really impressed. The car size is just perfect for me not too big nor too small. The handling and smoothness is so nice. This car was just the right car for me and I have zero regrets. By the way, this design is much nicer and more elegant than todays more cheap plastic looking Toyotas.
Roomy, great gas mileage, smooth ride
No complaints at all
I bought a 2016 Toyota Avalon in 2019 and it is an excellent vehicle. Have had no maintenance issues and it gets excellent gas mileage. I highly recommend this vehicle - 5 stars
Is comfortable stylish in front to drive
Not the greatest on gas mileage
This is the most luxurious car and most reliable with all the bells and whistles. Has wonderful space in the trunk and rfor long trips. I would highly recommend this car about any other sedan on the market for the price reliability and luxury.
Excellent auto

One owner. 33212 miles 4dr limited. Excelllent condition. Internal is blck leather always kept in a garage. Very little winter driving.
One owner elderly couple mostly driven by wife. Hardly driven at all the last two years because of wife’s dementia
Avalon styling is nearly unchanged since new
Touring model has firm ride, not soft.
Purchased new in March 2013. Always garaged, always properly maintained by Toyota dealer, never smoked in, never damaged, always driven at modest speeds and by just one driver ( a long retired former trucker), tires have less than 10K miles, maintenance records available to verify current mileage and dates of service. Will most probably be sold due to present original owner having become handicapped and not able to renew driver's license when it expires.
Adaptive cruises control
Low profile tires
This is a great car by all means, one exception is the low profile wheel/tire. Low profile tires are meant to improve look, handling, and cornering, but they are bad with bumps, and they blow out easily, I have two of my tires blown out after stepping into a relatively small path whole in the middle of the night, with only one spare tire that was a nightmare. Low profile wheel is a joke, I am not on formula one race to require better cornering, I just need to feel good on bumps and not have my tires blow out, So if you choose this car opt for the XLE and avoid the limited. Will eventually sell the car I love because of the wheels situation. Never thought that low profile wheels are going to be that problematic.
Smooth power and handling.

I bought this car a year ago with 76,000 miles on it. Now it has 83,000 flawless miles. It had a little wear on some interior pieces that repaired myself but otherwise has been a wonderful car. The suspension provides a smooth ride that handles well considering the size.
