Positive Review

"Great overall vehicle"

We've had the Suzuki since 2003 and the car still rides very nice, we got a lot of use out of this vehicle and it has served our family well.

VS

Critical Review

"Great value for price"

Fully loaded options, factory running boards, very reasonable fuel economy, good off road, and towing under 2000lb, was not happy rear axel bearings needed replacement. Solid mechanically otherwise

Best underrated SUV
Pros

Reliability

Cons

Wheel bolt pattern

Just keep up with the maintenance and this truck will be loyal for a long time. I got mine with 177k and now 5 years later it has 233k and is still going strong. I love "Sue". Parts not too expensive and they last.

Good SUV
Pros

Four wheel drive

Cons

Mpg

Ours is the 2003 Limited 4x4, it’s not fancy or good on gas, but it’s reliable and can get you through some rough roads if need be. IT’s among the last of the ladder frame, mechanical 4x4 SUV you can buy, there are better 4x4 systems but it’s good enough, better than 2wd anything in bad circumstances on the road, or sketchy off road situations.. it will get it done. Not much insulation in the roof or doors in my opinion, don’t retain heat in winter or cold in the summertime very well, but the heater and AC do work well .. it’s worth a look.

Best car ever owned and carries a lot for its size
Pros

3rd row rides good as front, easy clean fabric

Cons

Little noisy but comes down after warms up.

Standard ware and maintenance. Over the years, three sensors had to be changed and 2 converters. I still have this 2003 with 415,000 miles.

Loved my XL7 "Suzi"
Pros

great to drive, good in snow

Cons

Didn't really have any cons

This was a very reliable car for me for six years or so. Loved my XL7. Ours didn't have a 3rd seat so we had all this cargo space which was great when we went camping. We've fit a queen sized air mattress in it and slept on rainy camping nights. Drove nice. Great in snow. Only reason we got rid of ours is that it got a leak in the gas tank and I didn't want to deal with it.
