Positive Review
Have had our SX4 since Dec 2006 - has about 10k miles on it. Averaging 26.4 mpg city/hwy since day 1, with about 60% of that city driving. Gets about 34 mpg on the hwy - anyone who is getting bad mileage with this car is just not driving it right. Pay attention to the mpg readout! We live in snowy Rochester NY and the 4WD works really well - push that button and this car grips and goes. Pros: the least-expensive switchable 4WD vehicle in the country. Lots of room for a relatively small car. Great mpg. Handles great. Funky styling. Typical Japanese high quality. 100k full warranty (and free lifetime oil changes at my dealer!) Cons: no center arm rest. No sun roof option. Time/temp/mpg display washes out in bright light. No vertical adjustment on driver's seat. I've owned lots of cars in the last 45+ years - this one is definitely a keeper. And it's thousands less than the equivalent Subaru/Toyota/Honda/Chevy. Eventually Suzuki is going to figure out that they priced it WAY too low - get one now before they do that. You can't go wrong with this car, especially if you need 4WD.
Critical Review
Yes, this car is cute, yes, you get four wheel drive, BUT the drive shaft WILL break in this car, it will cost you $800 or more. and this part breaks constantly I am approaching #3. This part CANNOT be rebuilt. There are NON-Stop issues with the tires, my car's studs and lug nuts are worn out, some have, even broken, from the constant tire issues. IF you like a sturdy car, with poor gas mileage, and getting nickled and dimed for parts, by all means buy this car. Also, this car is LOUD.

Zippy, fuel efficient, great size

This was my very first car and I loved her so much. She was zippy, fuel efficient, and fun to drive. Could fit into ANY parking space. Never had any mechanical issues besides typical wear and tear. She did surprisingly well in the snow. I’m so upset that someone hit me and totaled my little Suzie. I wish Suzuki hadn’t pulled out of the US market, but it’s understandable. If I could get another sx4 I absolutely would! Since the time she was totaled, I’ve had both a Hyundai and a Jeep, and I just miss my sx4 so much!
My First Car Ever, Super Reliable and great milage. Got it almost a year ago and have never had a problem since apart from the normal wear and tear every car has, plenty of space inside and doesn't take too much space
Fun to drive- reliable - lost cost awd good on gas
No power up hill-
This has to be the best car I have ever had- I bought it used at 78000 miles from a rocket scientist in Co. 6 speed manual - great on gas and drives like a dream- the rwd/awd/4x lock is so easy to use! I purchased this car 4 months ago and it has been nothing but awesome to drive!
great on gas mileage

Only reason I'm wanting to sell this car is my wife passed away 12/03/2021 and I want to drive her 2009 Suzuki SX4 Sports Model 4-door Sedan because of sentimental reasons.
Perky
Smaller than med. Sedan
I bought this from private party. I had just lost a car in a wreck. This little car has been great used car. I would buy it again.
Fun to drive, armrest for driver, tall head room
Engine feels powerless, speaker is not so good
Bought the car to learn manual transmission. Very happy with the car, space first row and trunk space. Great visibility. Something cool about this car is that is has keyless entry, and I really like the sporty sedan design.
Awd
Don’t make new ones
275,000 and still going. Normal maintenance,(oil changes, brakes , etc. nothing out of the ordinary. Wish I could buy a new one
Has a smooth ride and is nice to drive
Rear door is dented
This car has a comfortable ride, very nice interior but rear door has a good size dent due to a hit and run.
