Positive Review
I bought my SVX 4 years ago, with 20,000 miles. It's my around town driver, and I love it's speed, handling, and appearance. Caution #1- The 1992-93 models are prone to transmission overheating and failure at mileage 35-90,000. this can be prevented by having an aftermarket tranny cooler and filter installed early on for $300-$500. I wouldn't buy one with over 50,000mi if it didn't already have these 2 things already. The 1995-97 models are fine from the factory, and rarely have prob's. Caution #2- In 1994-95 the company offered 2 less expensive versions with Front Wheel Drive, not 4WD. Caution #3- Some have had 3 or more owners and may not have been maintained well.
Critical Review
this vehicle is a lot of fun to drive. It has plenty of power and is actually good on gas mileage. The small windows are a conversation piece and the comfort of the vehicle is surprising. On long trips the comfort is relaxing

good gas milage, head turner, unique design
costly maintenance
I own a 1994 SVX Ls (Front Wheel Drive) and this is the best car Ive had. However it difficult to find anyone who knows how to work on them reliably and as stated in another review its difficult to find several parts. That is the only down side. The FWD version is the best to own in my opinion because you dont have the transmission overheating issue that the AWD versions have. (Front Wheel Drive versions 1994 L&Ls-1995 L) The best part about owning this car is the looks you get as you drive by.
Fun to drive, especially in the snow!
Would be faster if it were a little lighter.
I bought this car new in 1996 and put the 224,000 miles on it. Run Mobil ONE in engine from the beginning. Very dependable, still use it as a daily driver.
Beautiful, fast, and luxurious.
Uncommon so not every mechanic good.

One fantastic car. Very fast I clocked on track at 154 MPH. Very quite, rides great and has all power accessories.
good value for the price, with plenty of power
small rear seat room, no cup holders

wonderful fast car..Track tested 140 MPH...
Quality manufactured! Styling, performance
Top end power mild
This is an awesome car for the year range of what was available from early 90s cars. It corners as well as any Corvette I had from those years, smoother running motor than most luxury cars I have had and accelerates nice. The only thing I can ever find wrong with this car and I mean the only thing is it does not have the power at top speed that I would like but has a ride at 130 miles per hour that is smooth!
A blast to drive head turner
