Positive Review
I rarely write these types of reviews but felt I had to here. I just sold my 08 Accord as a result of the age of that car for my company car allowance, I liked the Accord very much. When shopping I had previously ruled out Subaru's because I am 6.3" and they never had enough legroom until this model year (2010). I have to say that this car far exceeds my expectations. The seat comfort and support blow away the Accord and the interior space is just right. I can sit comfortably in the rear with the fronts seats all the say back. The CVT is very nice to have, it runs super quiet and is ready to kick in and maintains constant RPM's when you step on it. People who complain about lack of power are not driving it right. Since the car does not have to shift the engine maintains a constant RPM and gets off the line and holds that rom and accelerates and passes nicely. I am not sure why you would want more power really. I also have been getting 29-30mpg in all around driving which is the same as my Accord yet this has AWD!! The paddles shifters are awesome to use. I really dont see the point of using manual for normal driving as it is not as efficient as auto mode but having the downshift paddle in your left hand lets you downshift on downhills for engine braking or when coming to a quick stop while sipping on coffee with your right hand. When you stop the CVT automatically kicks back into auto mode. Even though the car leans slightly in turns the steering is super solid and responsive and the car does not slide out at all with the lower center of gravity of the boxer engine. They have also gone to great lengths to insulate the engine compartment and the car is way quieter then the Accord v(engine and road noise wise). The only downside from the Accord is the trunk hatch does not give you as easy access although the interior shape of the trunk makes the space more usable. The interior ergonimics are very good except the climate control and stereo knobs are small and hard to adjust. Fortunatley the stereo controls are also on the steering wheel. All in all this is very solid car which is priced similar to the competition but includes all wheel drive which others do not have. The comparison numbers also do not factor that in. Considering the brand loyalty, better resale, durability, workmanship over Hyundai (KIA, same company), the reliability and durability over the Ford (not to mention less expensive) the CVT and AWD over the Accord and Camry the choice seems obvious (and no I don't work for Subaru but I am in sales).

I WAS A OWNER OF A 2014 SUBARU LEGACY 4 CLY AUTOMATIC60,000 MI. DRIVING ON A HIWAY AT 65 MPH ALL THE LIGHTS ON YHE DASH LIT UP PULL OVER. SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND OPENED THE HOOD. THE EXPANDSION LID WAS OFF WATER EVERWERE, YES BLOWN HEADGASKETS. ONLY IDIOTS WOULD INSTALL IDIOT LIGHTS INSTEAD OF WATER TEMPERTURE GAGES. CALLED DEALER FOR COST $3=5000 NOBODY ELSE WOULD DO IT. THINK ABOUT THAT FOR THEY SAY ITS BEEN RESOLVED BUT ITS STILL THERE I TRADED IT PROBLEM SOLVED.
Nice clean car.
None.
Auto as is in good running condition. A single seatbelt is missing on the rear seat. There is one blemish on the interior driver side door. The car does not have a engine problem. Gas mileage is 28 per gallon.
Rides nicely; stable feel to it.
Passenger front seat height not adjustable.
Got this 2011 Legacy as a legacy. It was my dad's until he passed away a year ago. He hardly ever drove it at his very advanced age and even now it has just 22000 miles on it. Had to replace the alternator and something else that I can't remember but it's been reliable since then and drives smoothly. Haven't been able to test its snow/ice handling since it didn't snow this winter in NYC. Acceleration is just fair but biggest complaint is that passenger seat height is low and not adjustable afaik so my wife has difficulty getting in and out.
Car is in very good shape inside and out also has weather tech mats throughout including the trunk. Has original owner manual.
Very fun to drive and is a breeze to drive
No cons
Wonderful automobile . Has great character and has been very economical and has been very cost-effective
Spacious / Comfortable / AWD / Great Handling
Noisy CVT / Front End Styling / Wind Noise
I've daily driven the 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited for a little over a year. It has been an excellent daily for me. The limited trim with the black leather and extra amenities like the all weather package and opening sun roof make it a really nice place to be in. The leg room is ample in the back for passengers, had a 6'5" friend comment on how surprised he was that he fit back there. It's easy to work on for the most part (spark plugs are a pain to get to because of the engine being lower in the bay due to it being horizontally opposed). I'm at 86,000 in the vehicle and there is not a creak or rattle to be heard in the car. The only thing that makes noise is the leather when you first settle in for the drive and the engine. The engine and wind noise can be kind of loud, mostly only in the winter when the engine is colder. Wind noise can be kind of loud, though I'm an audiophile and love listening to my music so when I have to turn it up louder than I'd like to to hear it, it's a bit inconvenient but still good. I'd definitely recommend this car if you're looking for a sedan with AWD and good gas mileage on it. I average about 28mpg (mostly city driving). On the freeway it's around 30-31mpg. It's great for road trips, I've comfortably been in the car with friends for 5 hours and it's always been a good drive. The only thing that I could nitpick about it is that it's a little ugly haha but styling never bothered me much. It has also just the right amount of technology you need for modern standards without feeling outdated like the next generation of Subarus (imo).
Great in snow

10/10 Most reliable vehicle I own. Great in snow. Comfortable as all get out. Perfect car for Michigan.
Parts are cheap to buy not bad gas mileage for awd
Non that we cme across yet
This car has served my wife and I very well. She drives in all weather conditions in the early morning hours up here In Northern Vermont. She has never lost control in blizzard conditions, even when the plows were not clearing certain roads. I used to worry about her getting to and from work safely, but know that's a thing from the past. This is by far the best Awd vehicle we have owned.
