What Owners are Saying About the 2006 Scion xB
"XB's rule!"
"I've owned my XB from new. I have traveled over 300,000 miles to date (3/21) I maintain all my cars and this car has only needed wear items. The motor has never been apart for repair. Any parts needed are inexpensive and readily available. This car has rewarded my years of ownership with 30 plus mpg and thumbs up from young and old everywhere I travel."
"The best car on the planet"
"I've had this car for 7 years. I've driven it all over the place and it has never broken down. It's never had any major issues-- just a few things to replace here and there. There's also that pesky rear door handle that every xB owner knows about. We are essentially a cult at this point, who worship a driving toaster. I've read ended someone once and it barely did any damage to either car-- maybe a scratch or two, but mostly on the scion, and the plastic vent thing fell off, but was reattached like Legos. It's like driving a fish tank/golf cart/toaster with wheels. I can stick many dogs in this box. I can swerve in and out of traffic and park anywhere. Does the bumper sometimes hit the ground when backing out of a driveway with a steep curb? Almost always. But it's also plastic and can take a beating (also you can cut your wheel to the left or right and take it at an angle and it doesn't scrape as bad). I would collect these things like Pokemon cards if I could. I live in fear that one day I may need to replace it and won't be able to because everyone has found out about the wonders of this car and they become super hard to find :("
"Pretty good..."
"Well, I've owned my xB just over a year now. Great gas mileage, love the space in the car. A few criticisms though. My windshield broke in the same fashion I've heard many other people complain of. Left it in the garage and when I got it in the next day it had a big crack. Dealership claims a rock chipped it. Riiiiight.... I wish the steering wheel was more movable. Also, only buy this car if you don't care about engine power. It's strained at times while going up hills and passing. All in all, I'd DEFINITELY buy this car again. It's economical and fun to drive. Do not buy this car if you just like the look. Only buy it if you like the look and are just looking for a basic commuter car that gets good gas mileage and is economically functional. If you buy it solely based on the looks, the luster will wear off and you will slowly become disappointed."
