I bought this car used (one year old in 2007 with 12,000 miles). I am the 2nd owner. Now it has approximately 233,000 miles. The best gas mileage I ever got in it was 38 mpg, but I usually average 32. I've replaced the alternator and battery twice, recently replaced the shocks/struts and a few minor things besides maintenance. It has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I've never had a problem with the motor or transmission (mine is an automatic). If they made this vehicle again, I would definitely buy it! I was sad to learn that Scion will be not be making vehicles after this year.

able to get around town easily and finding parking spots that I would have avoided with my pick-up. gas mileage averaging 34-36.

Wish it had a sunroof
This was my first car, paid for and the only car I have ever owned. This is an amazing car and will never let you down as long as you take care of it.
Reliable, roomy, Toyota engine
Not made anymore
Bought used at 107k miles now have 220k miles and still going strong! Still drives and shifts smooth. Only ever needed to change starter other than regular maintenance. Not the fastest, but comfortable and will get you to point A to point B.
Other then oil changes never had any big problems. Ran the thing to the ground 122k miles and was still running when I took it into the junk yard.. could have lasted a couple more years.

These are made in Japan by Toyota, and it's insane how long they can go. I have one at 113k and it amazes me how well it still runs. I haven't had a single issue with any part of the car

Road noise, ac fan, rides hard on rough roads
This was meant to be a temp car, bought used for $3500 cash 175k miles. I'm at 350k now used for a couple of years as courier car, 100- 1000 miles per day. I use high mileage synthetic fuel to keep seals and valves fluffy. Outside of normal maintenance I've only replaced Oem evap system to pass inspection @325k, and new tie rods last week@348k. At this point it I am curious how long it will last... I will drive it till the "wheels fall off" Not bad for a temp car.

327,900 miles. Bought new. Single commuter, with this vehicle, 130 miles round trip, everyday. 15 years. Never failed me. Original clutch! They will last forever if you know how to drive. Best everything for the do$$ar. I WANT ANOTHER Xa !
