Positive Review

"So Far So Good!"

I purchased my car from a used from a dealership in January with about 123,000 miles on it, and so far it has been pretty good. My only serious complaint is gas mileage, it's a guzzler. However, the car drives magnificently and is EXTREMELY comfortable. I had an issue for about a month where the lift gate would not open automatically. It just stopped working with no explanation and then one day started working again. The one issue I am having is with the electronic dash. It some times goes blank and so I can't see the diagnostic information. I have to more or less smack the top of the dash for it to come back on. I was told my a mechanic that it's an issue with GMC vehicles in general. It's fixable but I would have to be without my vehicle for a about 3 days. I'll get it done eventually, but no rush right now. I did purchase an extended powertrain warranty, but the dash is not covered. Overall, I love the car. It's pretty to look at, plenty of leg room and a smooth ride to boot!

Critical Review

"worst vehicle ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This vehicle has been a nightmare roof leak, airbage light never goes off, seat bag light never goes off , take it to dealer all you get is a malfunction reading no big thing the dealership tells you. Charge you out the roof to only keep returning with the same issue I will never ever trust American Made Cars. GMC not worth the money go to the blogs pull up the saturn outlook before buying you will wish you never wasted your money as I did ..

Did its job for 15 years so far!
Pros

Quiet, comfortable, roomy

Cons

Getting old, timing chain, wear items.

I've owned this Saturn since Jan 2008. It has 136000 miles on it after 15 years. Honestly I can't complain about this vehicle at all. No major issues so far, only minor wear items. Lately, I've been hearing a rattling noise coming from the engine. Known loose timing chain issue, which will eventually kill it unfortunately...not worth fixing it. Engine has a small oil leak too. It also has the airbag light on whenever someone sits in the passenger seat...also a known issue. The seat sensor is starting to fail. After 15 years, I'm just happy it still runs. It's comfortable, quiet, and roomy. Yes, I get about 16-18 mpg on it, but it is what it is. Overall, I am pleased with it.

Seats 8, or 4x8 plywood! Tow hitch and roof rack
Pros

Best family car ever! Does it all and looks great!

Carry it all, with this 2009 Saturn Outlook XR AWD, 122K miles (now the GMC Acadia). A super SUV, for carrying 8 people, or 4x8 sheets of plywood, and everything in between, with its supremely flexible seating: second row has 60/40 split; third row folds into the floor. With the added tow hitch and roof rack you can also carry bikes and kayaks! (Or inflate your kayak with the rear power outlet.) And when you're not using all the cargo area, it still is a wonderful car to drive: leather heated front seats, with power adjusting driver's seat, nice sound system controlled from steering wheel, cruise control, lots of convenient storage nooks, cupholders all over. I hope this car will make some family as happy as mine has been using it!

Cons

Love the reliability, comfort. Roominess, big windows, and most of all the smooth driving, and quiet engine for being as old as it is.
