Positive Review
I bought this car used with 122k miles. Since then, I have put over 60k miles on it. I have purchased tires and out some $2k into it. It runs great, still gets about 39 - 40 MPG and has never left me stranded. I love Saturn and wished they were still around. Would buy another in a heartbeat!
Critical Review
I just had the timing belt break at 88,000 miles. I now see that this was recalled in 2008 from Saturn however only on "certain" models. After calling and trying to have this replaced I was denied due to my VIN number not being on their select list despite fitting into their set VIN numbers which fall into the recall. Until this happened I couldn't complain it was reliable and did the job, after dealing with GM and their customer service on this issue it pushed me away from this car and any future car from this company...

Plastic
Hood and trunk lid slight rust
I will start by saying that I sold brand new toyotas for 20 years. 2 years after I retired a friend of mine was the new sales manager for a Saturn dealership. I got a great discount but not convinced it's even close to toyota quality. The only problem is the front subframe which I just replaced with a NEW OLD STOCK for 500.00 off of ebay. The engine is extremely in top running condition and no leaky gaskets. I'm a regular maintenance so oil changes every 5000km and transmission oil changed to synthetic 23 years ago. So the one lesson to keep a car reliable is change the oil it's cheaper than an engine sheesh! I live up in Toronto Canada rust belt and it seems I'm the only one driving a great looking saturn 2000 Ls1. Door locks and trim and fit are it's only downfall. Typical G.M. not close to toyota but hey I'm still driving it after investing 2500.00 for subframe, new brake lines and rear brake shoes after 23 years on the road.Oh btw I undercoated the new subframe and the complete under carriage. I figure I can get another 20 or until I cannot drive since I'm 65 now
Great condition and fabulous gas mileage
Nothing wrong with this vehicle
This car is a one-owner vehicle in excellent condition; maintained regularly; 25 mpg town; 36 mpg highway. Most miles tollroads / interstate...not a lot of stop-go city miles.

Busted radiator, electrical doorrelay troubleshoot
Engine, clutch, exhaust, engine is solid, 5 speed manual shift, E brake works, interior is in good shape, no tears nor stains. Body is clean. Engine hood should be aligned along with the replacement of a radiator, no more than $90, priced. 15” alloy-steel wheels.
Find how much it worth
Great gas milage, handles well, low milage
Rear suspension is noisy
The engine runs very well and never has any problems. It’s a 4 cylinder but it will still accelerate at a good speed and gets really good gas milage. It handles well in the snow so winter is never a problem. It just got a brand new muffler and headlights. There is one small rust spot above the passenger side rear tire but if taken care of it won’t become a problem.
Quality
Rusty undercarriage
2002 lw200 wagon. 4cy. Over 200k miles.. all original. Just fluid changes. Has never broken down. Only complaint is undercarriage rust. Just have to watch it in the snow belt..
