What Owners are Saying About the 2005 Saturn Ion
"Cheapest cost of ownership. Reliable"
"330,000 miles original everything Except; wiper linkage,alternator,front-end bushings,2 wheel bearings , rusted gas line, plus normal brakes and shocks. Burns 1/2 qt every 3500 miles now,but runs as good as new.Even the entire exhaust system is original. Not bad for a Wisconsin car. Im shooting for 400,000miles don't see anything but an accident taking this car out. LOVE MY CAR!!!!"
"I have loved this car. So sad no longer made!"
"I have loved, loved this car. I am so sad they are no longer making Saturns. I feel that is a good, dependable car. I have never had problems with it. It is delivers at a price point that is reasonable. The cars look pretty good. The interior is so/so but overall I have been really happy. A few years back I had a guy T-Bone me in the driver side. The car did just what it was suppose to, kind of collapse around me. I didn't even have a scratch. I thought it was totaled. But they repaired it like new. I haven't had to put a bunch of money into the car and it keeps getting me around. I think it was a big mistake to eliminate the Saturn from the line. Saturn owners are a loyal breed."
"Great Car That Gets No Respect"
"My wife bought this car ten years ago with 24k and now we have it up to 114k. Overall it has been a great car. I only scored it low on value because the car has terrible trade-in value, and its not clear to me why (because they don't make them anymore???). In all the years we have had it we only had an issue with the gas line. I love how the car handles, accelerates and the ride for this small of car is pretty good. I am a big guy (6'5" and 350lbs), and I fit in it just fine (I can't say that for many cars out there). My only issue is getting in and out is like the birth process (seating is very low). If I lost a hundred pounds it would be much better. Still, the car is one I would drive anywhere. Through many Minnesota winters I never got stuck in it once. It is nothing "flashy", but it is basically a fine car that should be worth much more at trade in. I think you can put on a ton of miles on this car and many do."
