What Owners are Saying About the 2006 Saab 9-7X
"Nice, but with typical GM issues"
"I generally like my 97x. However, the rear view mirror is right at eye height and creates a major blind spot. Also, when the battery died the entire ignition locked up so I couldn’t even put in neutral. This meant having to get it towed. I couldn’t even get the key out. I also had a shifter part go out and couldn’t engage the transmission (labor cost was expensive). This meant getting it towed and has happened twice. I’ve never experienced this with any other vehicle I’ve owned in 40 years. Also, the print on the radio knobs wears off. How stupid/bad is that. Lastly, the rear air shocks went out and were expensive to fix. That was such a bad idea to begin with. I’ve owned the car for 6 years and 30k miles."
"A great alternative SUV that is unique!"
"Love this vehicle! First off, the 9-7x stands out because it was not made in large numbers and most people are unaware of the Chevy Trailblazer connections. I usually just hear, "I didn't know Saab built an SUV". Regardless of the GM relationship, Saab enginers made over 200 changes to turn the Trailblazer chassis into a 9-7x. I bought mine with 100k miles around 4 years ago, needed nothing, just got in and drove it with no issues! I was lucky in that the prior owner had apprently changed out the air springs to convential coil springs, so that saves me the trouble of having to worry about the pump going out due to a leak. I have driven it about 10k miles, in that time, replaced the brakes and thermostat. I had always liked the 9-7x, so I was happy to get a nice one at a great price and I have not been disappointed! My 9-7x has the 4.2 engine, so it is not going to blow you away with performance, but that's not what I bought the vehicle for in the first place. The 9-7x rides beautiful and in fact, I just got some new Pirelli Scorpion tires, which have made the ride even more smoother!"
"Great suv"
"My Saab 97X is so easy to drive. It's not as big as alot of SUV's and much easier to handle. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of leg and head room. It came loaded at the same price other SUV's come stripped. Only had 2 small (minor) cosmetic issues that my dealer fixed. Great vehicle at a reasonable price. I think the front is very modern and sleek, but the back end could use some updating. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Saab."
