Tool to benefit dealerships

Gave me a super lowball unrealistic number. Not even close to market value. I don't know who determines this but they nowhere near reality. Dealerships started calling me instantly. Salivating at the idea that I would sell my truck at the price they gave because they knew they were going to make a killing on it or they wouldn't even wasted their time with it

Great truck for towing

Ordered this 3500 DRW Laramie to tow our 40 ft fifth wheel RV trailer out west and to Alaska in 2019. It did the job including pulling up Donner Pass with out any problem. Pulled the trailer over 18K miles and put 26K miles on the truck on that trip. This was my 4th Ram and 3rd diesel. Will be picking up my new 2024 Ram 3500 DRW Laramie that I ordered next week.

Has been a great truck for me
Pros

Strong, reliable, capable, comfortable

Cons

Always pull to right no matter what, Dodge issue

Bought my truck CPO with only 3200mi on it. Have owned it since 2017, haven't left me needing fir anything since I bought it. Dealt with the recall issues, but engine, Trans, and truck have been near perfect to operate. Stay away from the dealer when possible, they always know how to mess up a great thing.

Excellent All Around Vehicle
Pros

Reliability and slow depreciation as a diesel

Cons

Require diesel fuel at a premium price.

Main benefit of buying the last year of a model run is reliability. Zero warranty shop time yet at around 30,000 miles and just over three years of service daily driving and towing the limit of my dump trailer or bumper pulling a camper. I would definitely purchase this vehicle again and prefer the look of the 4th gen 3500 over the newest changes. The newer 1500 in Ram Chevy or Ford are disappointing for weight and stability for their price. I’m hoping to keep until it’s a classic and we are having to make our own biodiesels. Thanks for reading.

Ram Diesel

The newer diesel trucks have way to many issues from the added emissions to the anti-lock/anti skid control. Truck didn't even have 30k miles and the anti-lock faulted and now it's done the same thing at 100k miles. I've owned many vehicles with anti lock and have never had this issue one time much less twice on the same vehicle. Ram refuses to own the problem and now that it's out of warranty I'm stuck with the cost of repair. Will never buy another Ram truck again.
