Critical Review
Expect to replace a transmission a lot. Expect a massive headache with recalls but no parts. Expect to not have a vehicle for six weeks while you wait for parts. Expect the dealership to not know how to handle it if you go past the average mileage on this year. Expect a nightmare. Good luck , hope you have two other trucks and a car like me so you’re not stranded. Have fun. Somebody please put a dam Allison in it already. Maybe an independent transmission cooler.

Could not be happier. Four years and zero issues. This truck (ordered with a 50 gallon tank) is super comfortable, quiet and an excellent all around vehicle. 4x4 of course.
This Ram 2500 Tradesman was more pleasurable than i thought it would be,
Cant Think of any cons right now
Bought this truck about a month ago and I am very pleased with the truck
It has the power and features I was looking for.
Steering is nice, audio is nice, looks decent
Power is awful, suspension is terrible, crammed interior with no room for tools, bad fuel mileage pulling is terrible
No room inside of the cab, biggest issue is this truck has no balls pulling a trailer. The Ram 24 2500 bighorn has been a huge disappointment for performance. Hitting small bumps in the road is felt in your lower back. Getting on the highway watching the speedometer is like watching paint dry pulling a trailer.. would definitely rather get a Chevy or ford for pulling and convenience.. steering is nice and audio is good. If your getting tthe my it for a daily driver it should be fine but for any pulling or work your screwed

Not reliable
Purchased this truck in February 2023. It only had 30 miles. It Regens every 100 miles, regardless of if we are pulling our 5th wheel or not. At 2,000 miles the instrument panel said Deisel Particulate Filter is full take to the dealership. Took to the shop and they had it for 3 weeks and had to replace the Deisel Particulate Filter, after which the truck did not run as smoothly as it had before. We took it two different dealerships and they ran updates on the computer, but it was never quite right. Move forward to August 2024, we now have 28,000 miles on the truck and are stuck in Cody, Wy, waiting on another Deisel Particulate Filter because ours is full, again. Keep in mind we do not let our truck idle the way most Deisel truck owners we see in the RV parks. We turn it off even when we are stuck in traffic. We arrived at this RV park on August 11th, took the truck to dealership on August 12th. The part was ordered on August 13th and we asked for them to expedite, but currently the part is scheduled to arrive from Detroit on September 3rd. That is unacceptable. We are from Texas and are stranded in Cody, WY (nice place to be stranded) but we need to get back home. When we do get home, this truck is being traded in.
6.4L Hemi, Uconnect display with Android Auto
I love this truck. This is the fifth Ram I've had, everything from a 1500 with a 4.7 Magnum to a 3500 with an HO Cummins. This 2019 2500 Laramie with the 6.4 Hemi is the ideal truck for me. Great ride. Great performance. This truck does a great job towing a 38' 12,000 pound fifth wheel. Sure it doesn't pull as well as the 2014 3500 diesel I had, but it's also alot cheaper to maintain.
Styling interior/exterior
Gas mileage
It's been trouble free and 1 small recall regarding the tail gate. Had it for almost 2 years now. It's a tradesman with the 6.4l and the 8 speed transmission. Nothing fancy, but does truck stuff well. Bought specifically for towing a travel trailer which it does well. It drinks fuel like a thirsty sailor so be prepared for that. I hope to see many serviceable years with it
Powerful, Roomy
DEF System and its updates that only dealers cando
I have a love hate relationship with this pickup. Exactly what we needed to tow, gets us where we need with towing a heavy load. Interior is amazing, comfortable with lots of room. Handles ice and 3ft of snow well. Turning radius is awful but if you are driving this you probably aren't typically using this for a Sunday trip and you have a reason to drive it. HOWEVER, lets talk the about countdown mileage on the DEF system. We were on a 800 mile trip to make it to my wife's grandfathers side before he passed, left in a massive Dakota snow storm, took the pickup to ensure we made it through anything and we would have except the DEF started throwing an "see dealer now DEF needs service" and started counting down from 150 miles to 0 and if we hit 0 speed would be reduced to 5MPH, . Only 7000 miles on this pickup, DEF was full. It was evening, afterhours of any dealership and trying to get to a family members bedside 220 miles to go. This was the LAST thing we needed. RAM needs to rethink this issue if the DEF is actually working properly, we got it to a dealer 6:30 am, all that was needed was a SYSTEM UPDATE! Something a dealer had to specifically do. Grandpa passed, ALONE. Ford's apparently do not have this "countdown."
