Positive Review
This is my wife's car and I drove it on a several hundred mile trip recently. She has the V8 engine. I was quite amazed at how close to a 911 experience driving this car gave me. Granted, it is huge (HUGE) and heavy, and it constantly reminds you of that when you make sudden maneuvers, but on the highway, it is scaringly fast - and I consider myself a fast driver. It just goes and goes until I worry that I will be jailed for travelling at such high speeds - and even then it doesn't feel anywhere close to topping out yet. Stable, quiet, comfortable, and reassuring.
Critical Review
This car is fast, handles beautifully, looks gorgeous looks, and is unique (unlike so many cars available). The quality has been perfect, unlike a recently owned S class mercedes. It is comfortable, and gets amazingly good mileage. There is a huge issue with the car, however. I live in San francisco, and on the frequently encountered hills, the transmission is VERY jerky. It feels like an old car with a slipping clutch when starting out. I have made many trips to the dealer over this, and Porsche is very aware of the problem since they are generating frequent software updates for the computer that have helped the situation. But, at the end of the day, I am told this is an issue with "all of them" that just cannot be fixed. I have a friend with an Audi R8 that I understand shares a similar transmission, and that car has similar issues. This transmission is bleeding edge, and was not ready for prime time. For this price, I frankly expect perfect, and this car is not.

Comfort, elegance, Porsche pedigree
Older PCM. Keeping it updated is a chore.
While shopping online I came across a 2014 Turbo S. Around 44k miles I knew I wanted to experience the beast, and boy have I. What can I say? It's a Porsche. I own a 2018 Boxster GTS which is a joy to drive but this thing is just different. We are a family of four and it fits moving the family around, at a very fast pace if desired. The options, the luxury, the entire experience is nothing short of the best money can buy. I can only imagine what the new Panamera's are like. If they improved on mine, I might be upgrading in my future!
Comfort
Service cost
Bought this car used with 20,000 miles, drove five years, across America coast to coast enjoying the comfort and power.
You can cruise in this car or light it up with a touch of a button.
Parts for maintenance and little pricey but not bad.
Me and my wife found a 16 Porsche certified lower mileage car but owner wouldn't talk to me after agreement of price. Kept looking and found a 16 same color and trim 6k cheaper. Drove up to PremierAuto in West Virginia and made the deal with Mo and had the car that day! The Panamera GTS is a lot of car for the money! It is a blast to drive and is probably one of the nicest cars I've have ever owned!
I love driving my car because I can leave everyone in the dust. It is fun, it handles well. It's a very comfortable ride. Sound system is a plus. Downside would be due to horrible road conditions in our city that tire replacement (due to potholes) is more frequent than I'd like) but at no fault of the car. Stellar ride, and not a penny outside of routine maintenance until 5 years in. Put in new spark plugs, new vacuum pump, new battery and new belly pan/fender liner (again due to road conditions in my city). Loving the car, may keep it forever and let it age well.
Beautiful, comfortable, and excellent to drive
Cost to maintain, cheap plastic interior parts
I bought a 2011 Panamera 4 in 2017 with about 80,000 miles on it. Six years later, it sits in the shop for what easily could be its last time at 203,000 miles. Everyone looks at me like, "You got over 200,000 miles on a Porsche?" It's not easy and it costs a LOT of money to get it there. I think Porsche is making a case study out of it. They've had it in the shop for 3 days just to get a diagnosis. At least I have a loaner Macan which only makes me wonder why anyone would buy a Macan. It isn't near as fun to drive as the Panamera. I love the car. I took it on long drives from Tennessee to Ohio, North Carolina, South Georgia, Louisiana, and everywhere in between. The comfort, response, and everything about the car makes it a fantastic choice for a road trip. Well, unless you have a flat tire. It's happened twice in this car. The lack of a spare tire resulted in a 3-hour wait on the side of an interstate for a tow truck AND a 3-day wait for a replacement tire. This car that I love started with a few headaches in the first year. An oil pressure regulator valve was the first repair that I experienced. It was about $800. Not long after that, EVERY door lock stopped working over the course of a few months to a year. I became an expert in changing those out myself, so I created a YouTube video for everyone else that will follow. Then there was the blower motor. Then the front-end knocking got worse and developed into a scary vibration. It took about $9,200 to find and remedy that problem with about 155,000 miles on the car. Had to replace the axles, a wheel bearing, and a few other things. Speaking of knocking, it's a common thing to hear it in cold weather. It's almost silent in the summer. But I love the car. So much so that I happily cleaned up my garage from the leaking transmission fluid (2 times repaired and still leaking) and the leaking power steering fluid. I barely remember what it is like to drive a Porsche without an air bag light illuminated on the dash. But I love the car. The sweet sound like a baby rattle that comes from a "stretched" timing chain is adorable until you get a price to fix it. It's probably the final mile for this car I love. In six years, almost to the day, I spent over $23,000 in maintenance and repairs. Many of those repairs are those I did myself to save money, lots of money. Just the blower motor saved me about $300 and took 45 minutes not knowing what I was doing. And don't forget that many mechanics won't touch a Porsche because they're scared of them. I even went to a tire shop recently to fix a very tiny leak in a tire. They wouldn't even touch the tire because it was an "expensive car." I told the guy that the F-150 on the lift was far more valuable than my lovely car. Didn't matter. I ended up driving it 600 miles on a leaky tire because, well, no spare tire. Similar events have happened several times since I bought the car. If you get one, don't be surprised to see repair bills for more than $10,000. I've received them more than once. In fact, I'm expecting my third one in the next few days. But, I love the car. As I am car shopping today, I am hesitant to buy another Porsche. The problem is that no other car is as comfortable or as good-looking as the Panamera. I've concluded that I will consider another Panamera, possibly even a hybrid, but it MUST be the second generation from 2017 or newer. It will not be the 970, guaranteed.
Fabulous acceleration and cornering. True Porsche!
Price and repair costs.
A great compromise between a high performance sports car and a super comfortable touring vehicle. Zero to sixty in about four seconds. My grandkids love watching TV/Netflix and DVDs in the back seats!
Tuff as nails yet a pleasure to drive long distances. This car does everything well. 27 MPG on annual trek to Florida from WI at average of 75MPH. We have driven BMWs and Mercedes Benz for the last 20 years. Both are great brands and perform well, but you can feel the Porsche difference.
Smooth and Really Fast
Nothing
Car is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!! 100% recommend the Panamera S
