The car is great for long distance driving as well as city driving. I get 27 mpg on the highway. The safety features, while pricey, are worth it. It handles extremely well; seats are oomfy with no back problems going long distance; luxury inside is prevalent, but not overstated.

Alarm went off unexpectedly two weeks into ownership --- Issue with Software ---- Fixed by AD Dripping of Rear Wiper ---- Fixed by AD Front Wipers Chattering ---- I had to pay for a brand new set ---- The problem Persists! --- I opened a case with Porsche US --- Still pending --- AD has no idea of how to fix it... I had to take it back to the dealer to tighten the hood, as it is an entirely new style that goes over the sides...So tightening was required...Hopefully, it would not be something that needs to be done on a regular basis. Worse of all: AC stopped working on a 4 hour trip...Called the AD. They gave me a "Way around" to temporarily get the AC to work. According to them, the software and a new 'architecture' ----- To this day they have not found a fix... I guess, this is the price I have to pay for jumping into an entirely new car (with all the bugs) I bought mine in July 2014... I suggest to discuss these issues with AD before buying this car...I am sure they will fix them soon...meanwhile, I am only taking short trips, in sunny days :-S

Super fast and handles well
Have to hand wash
I absolutely love love love my 2020 Macan S. I have had it for four years and it has been a gem. I researched comparable makes and models for several months before deciding on the Macan. Not once have I regretted my decision. I have the black on black trim, which looks really awesome. It still feels brand new to me. I get a lot of compliments on the Macan. Only drawback is that I wish I could take it through a car wash instead of hand washing it.
Sports sedan handling with the utility of a small SUV. Outstanding interior and very comfortable seats.
Haptic controls and very little steering feedback.
The Macans drive more like a sports sedan than a SUV. I prefer the push button controls in our prior 2020 Macan much better than the haptic controls in the 2024.

I bought a pre-owned 2017 Macan S that I absolutely love as a commuter car and comfortable winter vehicle. Beautiful design, nice interior, and relatively fast and fun.

I have a 2024 Macan T, and I must first begin by saying I firmly believe purchasing a Porsche is not a rational choice by any means, it is a completely emotional purchase…and that’s ok. This is why people buy designer clothes, handbags, watches, etc, because it makes you feel good. If you want practicality, buy a Toyota. Porsche owners want a different experience, and it lives up to what most know as the “Porsche tax.” The build quality is excellent, everything you touch is of high quality and solid, no cheap plastics like other brands. Even closing the door, you feel the solid sound as you are in a tank. Overall space is cramped, but then again this is not a Suburban, nor is intended to be. Power is never a concern, it’s there when I need it. It’s a nice feeling knowing I am driving with the flow of traffic, but can pass effortlessly if and when I need it. My one and only complaint is that when in reverse and backing up, my 360 camera does not automatically set in, I have to manually touch the screen to view around the car; and there is no way to program to default this. Overall I would highly recommend.
Handles great and fast enough
Gas mileage is just ok, but who cares!
If you like to drive and are ready for midsize suv, this is best option! I have a boxster s and love the tightness that a porsche is. The Macan is a true Porsche, its nimble, quick, and luxury all in one. I have the 3.0 twin turbo and its enough for me. Very quick.
Performance, reliability, styling
Maintenance cost
I have had a 2018 Macan S for several years. It currently has 82000 miles on, I use this as my daily driver. Pros fun to drive, quick, reliable, Con maintenance cost, you can’t run down to jiffy lube to have the oil changed or NTB to have brakes put on it…it generally has to go back to Porsche and they are expensive, they do great work but still high. I have had two issue in the time I’ve had it, 1 transfer case, I couldn’t tell there was a problem, but the tech said their test showed it was bad and they replaced it at no cost. 2nd issue, the tech told me I had an oil leak and he said he replaced a bolt again at no charge. Great car great service no problem so far!
Best car in the snow. Safe great traction and downhill mode is a life saver. Solid safe with great acceleration.
