If you’re in love with the Porsche philosophy of design, performance and safety, but a 911 or Cayman just isn’t practical for your everyday needs, test-drive a 2019 Porsche Cayenne. Its ride and handling will surprise you, as will its accommodating cabin and numerous add-ons.
You can find comparable midsize-luxury SUVs like the Audi Q5 or SQ5, Mercedes-Benz GLE or Jaguar F-Pace that offer respectable levels of performance and equipment but with much lower price tags. Many competitors also come standard with advanced driver assists that are optional on the Cayenne.
