Positive Review
What can I say? This has been the perfect car for me for nine years, and almost 130,000 miles, some of which have been on pretty rough roads. Dependable, economical, and just the right amount of flash and dash. Hasn't failed a smog check yet (knock wood!). Needed a few repairs over the years, but that's only to be expected. I have to admit, however, that this vehicle is not the most comfortable ride for really big guys, like my brother.
Critical Review
I have owned my SE convertible for 8 years and only drive it in the summer. Love: V-6 engine is quick Good gas milage Gets lots of looks Love the exhaust note Top-down driving is great Good trunk space Hate: Shakes more than an explosion at a Jello factory Seats are uncomfortable Not enough front legroom (I'm 6'1") Rusts like crazy at the bottom of the doors Inferior interior materials Always needs repairs The brakes are the worst The ride is very choppy and rough Average handling If you can find one of these in nice shape, buy it and hold on to it. Collectors are just now starting to show interest in them.

No problems on ride in puerto rico's craters pot holes good mileage in our rollercoasters mountain passes, nice brakes, good aceleración even automatic sedan 2.0l and a/c works! Great + fun!
The Pontiac Sunbird is one of the funnest cars I have ever driven. this car handles great, accelerates great, and can handle any kind of weather as long as you drive safe. If you are a bigger person the car might be a little uncomfortable because the seats are small but than that I have no complaints about the car. Even with the convertible the trunk still has a ton of storage. The dash set up is very comfortable for the drive to use while driving. Over all, I would highly recommend this car to someone.
super inexpensive parts ! great gas mileage !
not suitable for tall or obese persons
I bought my 1994 Sunbird LE, with 2.0L, manual transmission five years ago as a 'backup' car in case my 95 Volvo died. I got rid of the Volvo two years ago. I am 5'11" and I find it a little cramped in the driver's seat. My 5'4" wife is comfortable in the passenger seat and my huge dog owns the entire rear seat! The car handles well on the road. The gas mileage is great. This car is the cheapest car to maintain than any car I have owned in my life and I am 67! I buy my parts from the internet. This car is mechanic friendly, so many parts are easily accessible! Changing the thermostat is like opening a bottle of milk! You just screw off the cap, remove the old thermostat and insert the new thermostat. Why didn't anyone else think of that? The rear window is great, you can see 360 degrees. the rear windows on most new cars are near useless. I intend on keeping this car for the rest of my life.
Dependable, economical, beautiful, handles nicely,
Not so comfortable for large men.

great gas mileage, fun car to drive
Alas, no cup holders.
This car drives smoothly. Drove it all the way to Texas and back 2 years ago. It's great on gas; I never spend more than $25 a week on gas and I drive 34 miles round trip each day to work.
reliable
cant get many parts any more.
a $12,000 car driven a half-million miles on the original engine and transmission. still runs today and will much longer. My ford contour died at 100,000 miles and cost me $21,000. Pontiac did right with this car.
Fun to drive, good gas mileage, reliable.
Can't think of any.
I have had this car since 1996 and although time has taken it's toll on the paint and carpet, this car is the most reliable and sturdy car I've ever driven. I plan to restore it. I also have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata which is a very big disappointment. It is always broken and when it breaks, I turn to my old reliable Sunbird! It has never let me down. I dare anyone to try to take it away from me!!!
Keep up whith the serv.
I like what I got......
I just love driving this little jewel. Just enough room for what I use it for, ....it is fun ! It handles great and also rides good for a little car and is very good on MPG. All around great car....
