Positive Review
I bought this car in 2009 with 130000 miles on it. It now has 182000, and still runs like brand new. The 3800 Series II is bulletproof, and runs forever. I've taken it to Florida and back twice, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again, even with the mileage. The performance shift option is appealing, and I love the feeling of the supercharger kicking in. This car is faster than most new cars being manufactured today. 240 horsepower and 280 torque? That's amazing for such an affordable vehicle. Also, the heads up display which shows all your gauge info on the windshield, is a great idea that was way ahead of its time. I work for Audi, and they are just beginning to bring that idea back. This thing is dependable too. I definitely recommend.
Critical Review
This was one of my first cars, ive owned. The only problem I really had, was the rear strut towers are rotting out. So my back strut is busting through my trunk. But overall, this car gets pretty good gas millage.

Mainly needs a fair amount of body work. Clean Reliable car. Interior in good condition. Minimal wear and tear. Fair amount of under body rust and minimal amount of paint touch up areas.
Great car have had no issues with it at all... starts when it's cold good heater good ride.. the only issue is that some lady ran a stop sign and totaled my car out and her insurance company feels that $1,100 is good enough to get a single father back in a reliable low mileage wel taken care of car farmers mutual of Nebraska will offer me $2,000 for vehicle rental for 31 days my accident happend August 26 and still not settled thank God I found a nice Pontiac firebird to drive paid way too much for it.. it has died in 2 drive thru's during supper once it's embarking to drive a sports car with a V6 5 speed that grinds no matter what you do going into 2nd gear okease over heats and kept dying and not restarting... this car cost me $3,100 and they want to try telling me $1,100 I can find a car...no sorry you guys will now buy me a trans am
Fun to drive, quiet unless there is an issue.
Noisy in the winter. Rust. Front drive issues
Good on gas, comfortable for a short person 5'-0" to drive. Easy to shift gears, readable speedometer, not too many issues outside what is normal for a 20-year-old car (Rust and replacing breaks). Quiet to drive, and speeds up quickly. Doesn't like winters, it's engine runs noisy when it hits below freezing outside which is an issue. I joke about the car wanting to be a snowbird. Someone backed into the car last year and since then it has had issues with different parts in the front part of the car breaking down more frequently.
roomy, fun t o drive
front damaged in wreck. didn't want to spend more
good car. 23 yrs old, pwer steering pump probs. front damaged in wreck. tires are good shape, good tread. less than 5 years old, less that 5,000 miles on them. intend to scrap it.
I’ve had by 2 door GTP since new and still love driving it as much as the day I bought it May 20, 1999.
Fun to drive, my weekend car.
There not making them anymore
The car is 20 years old only has a very small oil leak.. This is my 3rd GP.my last one had 300,000 + miles and would of kept going olny not for being in a car wreck.. I love tes cars.. Never had bad issues with anyone of them....
nice road trip car
sluggish transmission
previous owner did just enough to keep the car going, after several hundred dollars of maintance it seams to be a good vehicle that i can get several more miles out of. It is a peepy lil v6 that gets decent fuel mileage. Even after nearly 22 years and 230k miles everything still works as it should and is original.
Good trip car
Ac doesn't work.
Awesome car, too bad Pontiac isn't made anymore. This is one of the most comfortable cars not to mention quick I have ever owned.
