Positive Review
I wish I were driving a truck, but it's pretty good for a college car. It's got 130k on it (I bought it at around 80k) and it still gets 29-32 mpg on the freeway and about 25 normally. No major repairs, but the U-joint just inside a front wheel is about to go. A few electrical issues, but all in all it's been cheap to run and reliable. Fires up every time and looks alright. My main complaint is that the clock, the radio volume, and the dash light adjustment knob, don't work all the time.

I have had this car for about 2 years. I have had troubles withh the altenator and battery. Its a comfortable car to drive but i am not sure i would trust it traveling long distances. I do have 141,000 miles on it so it does last a pretty long time. It's a good car for a teenager.

I got this car, as my first car, many years ago. It had 198,000 miles on it at the time - and I put another 70k on it before I invested in a newer, better (or so I thought) car. I would (legally) race mustangs, and all those super fast cars in my Grand Prix - but nothing had the power that my car did! Not that it’s of any importance, it was just an awesome and fun perk. I semi-lightly rear-ended a friend’s SUV (luckily it was a friend) and their car had to have the bumper replaced, which I obviously paid for - but the silver bullet didn’t have a dent. I backed into a brick wall - no damage. Only damage I really was able to do to this thing was when I hit a curb i popped the tire and drove on the rim a bit (because I didn’t know what else to do!) but that’s not something I could blame on the car! It was SOLID. You could feel it’s weight when driving - especially in the snow! They don’t make cars like this one anymore. Sadly. After owning a brand new Mercedes, a few maxima, a BMW and an Acura TL... I can honestly say, I never felt as comfortable and safe as I did in the Grand Prix, anddd it lasted well over 268,000 miles I’m sure. I sold it at 268k miles to get my second car - the maxima... which only lasted me a few years before I HAD to sell it due to an O2 sensor that was recalled 3 times and located inside the engine -which may or may not have been able to fix my rejection sticker and I wasn’t about to pay to have someone take apart my engine then put it back together to find that it didn’t work... needless to say, this car was one of a kind. If you find one in somewhat good condition - buy it, esp if a first time driver needs a beater car.
It’s a great car
I had a 95 pontiac Grand Prix se for 6 years and it was the best car I have ever had the car was almost indestructible and could handle and weather and it never let me down. If I ever have the chance to buy another one I would in a heartbeat.
Have own'ed it since it hit the dealers show room it is just like it was when we bought it we're in our late 70s and don't drive it or need it anymore
very easy to drive, easy to manuver
cup holders are located on the doors no cd player
My Pontiac Grand Prix was my very first car, and let me tell you, it was an amazing choice. Monty (the affectionate nickname I gave him) is a very dependable car. My first two winters in Wisconsin, I spent more time crashing into snow banks then I did on the actual roads. But every time I crashed, Monty was able to pull himself out. Very good on gas mileage, doesn't cost much to fill up even when gas prices are outrageous. all in all, a very wonderful first car for any high school student, or college kid on a budget.
fun and fast

grrat car

If i could buy one new, i would buy 2. its that good.
Pontiacs run hot, so I've been thru many water pumps, a radiator and the AC doesn't work - but everything else does.I drive this car 200 miles a week and I don't see any of these cars on the road.I have always liked the lines/looks of this car and now it's the last of an extinct breed.
Only 2 cup holders and no hand holds.
This is a fantastic car when properly taken care of. Plenty of power and grippy handling. Ive owned my GP for 4 years now and havent had a single problem with it even after the 25,000 miles I've put on it. Starts right up hot or cold, rain or shine. This would be a great first car for a learning driver also. I get lots of turned heads and complements when I go out in it.
