Positive Review

"Hot Rod Heaven"

The Prowler, in my opinion, achieved everything the designers wanted. A modern day version of the early street rod. It's not only stylish, its comfortable and has all the modern safety features. Some will complain that it is under powerered and should have been powered by the eternal V8. However, the 3.5 Liter V6 provides more than enough power for any street rod. I was particularly impressed by the interior design and quality. Th eseats are more comforatble than my expensive Mercedes Benz SL600. And talk about fun to drive--it turns heads everywhere it goes. This car is certain to be a classic of significance given its brief and limited production.

Critical Review

"CHEAP"

The Plymouth Prowler was very cheap and brook down, in my case 5 time in one year ( meaning I had to put over $600 dollars in it every time) depending on the individual some might think it look “sweet” in my case it had a respectable look and flare to it, nevertheless it was certainly NOT worth my money. I would however recommend the Mercedes C300 Luxury Sedan runs like a beauty and is definitely stylish, superior quality too.

Why be normal?
Pros

Affordable, eye catching, Fun to drive!

Cons

tight cockpit, could use a few more HP.

At first view, you think concept car. But as you get to know a Prowler you begin to appreciate the car for what it is. A fun, weekend car that get looks from everywhere. Its uniqueness lends to questions from many. What is it? being that there are very few that are driven on the road, not many people have had a good look at this piece of american pie. Its definition in history is still in the works, but what I can say from owning my 2000 Prowler is it is an affordable, reliable, machine that always puts you in conversation with anyone who sees it. With its modest V6 and 256HP it is not a rocket, but surprisingly quick. With a few minor and very affordable adds you can get it close to 300HP which moves the car well. It is as reliable a car as I have seen. Minimal repairs have been very affordable and insurance is well below what I would have thought. Great entry car for someone that wants a fun driver with minimal up keep and costs.Remember, this car has been out of production for almost 13 years and it still looks like something from today. It has seemed to hold its value pretty well as it gets older, and parts are still plentiful. No regrets with this one!

Black Cat
Pros

Fun to drive, 20+mpg we get thumbs up all the time

Cons

No cons!

Doesnt get much cooler than this; a production car named after a War Bird and is a tribute car to the famed 30s hot rods. What auto mfg does this creative type of work anymore... Well ok, Dodge for sure, but nobody else seems to want to break the mold anymore. We own three other classic cars and by far my wife Luvs taking this one to the car shows!

What styling should be....
Pros

Quick off the line, fun to drive

Cons

Not a bad word to say

This is a real head turner... Only 13,000 vehicles manufactured from 1998 through 2002. This car is meant to go slow and get eyes on it. No trunk makes this car a local cruiser. No rain, no snow, no cloudy days.. Top down and a ride along the water is the real way to appreciate this vehicle. Caution, this car should not be parked for long as it will attract many interested eyes.. Overall you have to experience it to understand the attraction.

Other manufatuers are jealous
Pros

True head turner. Topless is the only way to go.

Cons

Challnge to get in and out. Low front end.

This car was the American experiment gone crazy. Proof Americans can build a true head turner. Only disappointment no V-8 or manual transmission. Car has plenty of get up and go but is more for show then top end. Difficult to leave car anywhere. Going to a restaurant be prepared for attention. Best driven on a Sunday then garaged.
