Positive Review
I Can only say that this is the best Midsize SUV GM ever made. Looks like a lexus, 2wd model gets24hwy and my wifes newer 4wd is still with us, gets 22, air pump in back great, AC cold as ice, Leather smooth as silk, they are worth every penny compared to Fords and ride a lot better. vehicle replaced by escalade that cost a lot more.
Critical Review
IF ONLY it spent less time in the shop, there would have been more stars in my rating. Comfortable, attractive, great engine, but a) front wheel bearing failure at 16 k miles b) Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure in '03 (@ 70 mph!), c) engine fan clutch failure in '05 (4 hrs from home), d) electric short in security lock system in '06 (3 wks to fix) and e) AWD system failure in '07 ($1500). To date, cost of repairs approaching trade-in value. Complexity of electronic systems = trouble. (BTW, I'm an electrical engineer)

Roomie and comfortable. Can tow dsize boat up to 2
Camshaft sensor..gas mileage
I bought this car in 2004 and im the second owner.. it's 2021 and I just agreed to sell my bravada that I've been driving for 18 years to a neighbor down the street for $2,500.. it only has $141,000 mi on it because I didn't work too far away from my home but my Bravada has been on many many camping trips, towing boats and the best freeway driving vehicle! I am a 5 ft 11 blonde Amazon and there is plenty of legroom in the front and in the back even with my seat further back.. it rides like a Cadillac and it's super quiet on the freeway.. the only issue I've ever had with it other than the standard maintenance like brakes and tires etc is the camshaft sensor.. so if you experience that issue ..do NOT buy Amazon or made in China get the ome factory part or it will keep going out on you.. I learned that lesson. I averaged around 14 miles to the gallon so not the best gas mileage but definitely a solid and comfortable ride. Love it all will drive had no issues with snow just ice as everybody will. Seriously sad that I finally decided to sell her after all these years but I was ready for a different car.. at least the neighbor bought it so I will see her drive by and smile and wave..
Very comfortable, great for outdoor adventures
I wish it were a little better on gas.
I love my Bravada! It is luxurious, safe, and fun. Its great for going to the mountains (skiing), the kids love watching movies with the DVD system, and I love how safe it is on the road. I think it is a beautiful car, as well.
Affordable to maintain
Lazy throttle response
I bought mine from a private owner this winter, and it was definitely the most practical decision I've made. Bought with 139,000 miles on it and had to have the transmission rebuilt. (The 4L60E is pretty weak) I knew of the issue and had it taken care of just a day later. Just service it at the proper service times and treat it nice and it'll hold up great for you. Really like the AWD as well. You can push through snow around here like you're driving in the rain, which was a big selling point to me. Coming from a guy who mainly drives tuner cars, this is definitely an excellent daily to go out and get. Only complaint I have with the vehicle so far would be the throttle response, as it does have a bit of a delay before reacting after you push the pedal. Nothing a plugin tuner can't fix. Other than that, very solid deal for the cost. (Plus it looks better than the Trailblazer and Envoy in my opinion)
Great looking car inside and out.
Can't honestly think of anything negative.
I have a 2002 Bravada. I bought it used in 2004. I still drive it daily and it's 2015! Hands down it's the BEST car I have ever owned. Never had any problems with EVER! Never broke down on me. Beautiful car. I am genuinely sad to say goodbye to it but it is time to move on. LOVE this car!!!
They no longer make the Oldsmobile!
This is the best car I have ever owned. The most reliable and prettiest car ever! Have just had to do regular maintenance for normal wear and tear of any vehicle. This is the 5th Oldsmobile I have had and was just mystified when they stopped making them. That is why I have kept this one so long. They should have stopped making the Pontiac! Have no idea what I will buy when I get a new one.
has awesome tow pkg if needed. very comfortable.
