Positive Review
I purchased my aurora with 90xxx miles on it and have driven it year round in the midwest area for the last couple of years (130xxx). I have found it to be extremely reliable and dependable. The only problem I have had was the transmission wiring harness plug(common on these) with the simple fix of cleaning the connections The car does not seem to have very much power while the air conditioner is running, but it does very well when you have it off considering the size of the car. The car is also very safe, even in snow I cannot make the rear end slide out or the brakes lock up due the the active stability control system.
Critical Review
My car was a Dealership Rental, when I bought it, with about 17,000 miles. I've been the only owner since and I've taken great care of the mechanical and aesthetic needs of the car. The car has amazing pickup and go, looks very stylish and surprises people that it's "Grannies" ride.

Super reliable engine and transmission
Certain parts don't exist anymore.
It's hurts my heart to know what happened to Oldsmobile because (I think) they made such a unique looking lineup of cars. I don't know what it is about there look as to a Buick, Chevrolet or Cadillac, but you know one when you see one when they drive by. People don't expect this grandpa car to be fast, but it actually gets off the line pretty decent for 3800lbs. Unfortunately you just don't see these beauty's around anymore and it's a shame because they were comfortable, classy, quick, reliable, sleeper V8's that noone knows about.

My car is in great shape is has a new battery and brakes and tires every thing works but the a.c. it's bout 20 bucks to fix it it very reliable I went back and fourth to Florida several times.i just want a lol more for my car
Large space while driving
Feels kinda heavy at times
I decided to go with a cheaper financing option so went with the Aurora. The seats is so comfortable, I almost fell asleep driving SMH. The features are awesome! It has all the options the newer cars have except for the cooled seats, telescope steering wheel and touch screen. You can always upgrade the stereo to make it even better. I'm so happy with my purchase :)
Smooth Ride
Hard to park at times
The power is excellent and it rides very smooth. I don't have to many problems with my Aurora
Great perfomance
Poor on gas
The Aurora is a great luxury car with tons of features. I love the styling and performance of this car!
fun to drive,reliable,real luxury
Poor gas mileage
I was an auto broker for many years and I recommended this car to numerous people. Is there a car made that doesn't have problems, of course not, there will never be a "one and done" but if you are looking at one of these get it checked out by a mechanic first and then be glad you bought it. The gas mileage for a car of this size is wonderful, the ride is really good. It's roomy front and back and has a massive trunk. The trunk is so big I put a 12" sub woofer in a box and mounted it in the trunk and I can still get the spare tire out. When you are driving it doesn't feel as big as it is. I have a 2001 with 108,000 miles and it doesn't even let in much road noise at all. I do a ton of driving and the only thing I have done to the car in a year and a half is add an after market stereo. I honestly don't have anything negative to say. To get really nit-picky I'm 5'11" tall and the seats don't go back as far as i would like. If you are my height or taller you definitely want to check that out first. I guess you get what you pay for and in my case I got so much more because I paid hardly anything for mine. Even though Oldsmobile isn't being made anymore quite a few different GM products used the same parts. This being said, parts are not hard to find and this isn't a high maintenance car to keep up.
fun to drive
Very dependable with a lot of style, quality and space. I highly recommend the Aurora V8.
