An Electric Throttle Control Actuator is made up of the throttle control motor and a throttle position sensor (TPS). The TPS detects changes in the throttle valve movement and consists of potentiometers that translate the throttle valve position into an output voltage that is read by the PCM.

What Are the Symptoms of a P0221 Code?
