The P0194 code issue is related to the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor, which the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses to determine how much pressure is going to the fuel injectors. The PCM effectively controls the amount of fuel going through the fuel injectors to maintain desired power and fuel efficiency. If the PCM detects an erratic signal that doesn’t fall within a specified range, then it will trigger the P0194 code.

The PCM monitors the fuel pressure to modulate the fuel injector pulse width, wherein a higher fuel pressure requires less pulse width to get the same amount of fuel.
