Positive Review
The Versa is a zippy little all-around-town car but nothing sexy. It does not get the mileage figures Nissan gives out, so forget about those. It has a very high ride which I like. I can finally sort of see over some of the smallish SUV's and when I go to the fast food places, I'm right up there looking into the window which is an odd feeling after my very low-riding vintage Mercedes which was a nightmare to get in and out of with bad knees. High ride, good, lots of passenger room front and back, really good. Decent sound system without upgrading and a plug-in for my MP3 player is a plus. No ABS standard, bad. Not a good vehicle in high wind, gets blown all over the place. Also, at highway speed, don't open the windows, it will be nearly deafening in the front and back seats. Cooling passengers in the back is tricky. You have to point the front adjustable air vents straight up for the air to reach the back. Weird. Nice materials on interior are a plus. Trunk space seems small until you start really putting stuff in there, then it seems pretty roomy. I don't like the uneven back surface created when the back seats are put down to greatly increase the cargo space, but that's how this car is made so we live with it. A protector coming standard with this hatch back to protect the plastic area at the lower edge of the hatch would be nice, because this area really gets marked up by cargo easily. Also, I notice two places of missing paint on the bumper from normal, everyday use. I have no scratches o this car except on the cheaply painted front and rear bumpers. The undercarriage on the front scrapes in areas it shouldn't . Overall I like my Versa and will probably buy it at lease end in two years. I've had it a year.
Critical Review
I was very happy with my Versa until i began having trouble engaging the clutch (stuttering) at about 6000 miles. I also had noticed a burning smell when i would park on a hill and have to back into a space. When i initially took the car in, the dealer's driver took it for a ride with me and said there was no problem with how the clutch handled. I've been driving standard transmission cars for 40 years and i think i knew better. However, i let it go. Finally, at 11,000 miles the car became undriveable. The dealer recommended a look at the clutch. When they pulled it, they found it burned out and the flywheel damaged. They refused to cover this under warranty (remember - 11K miles) since it was a "wear" part. Nissan refused to cover this also. The total cost for this was $2800!!! Needless to say I'm not happy with Nissan. On top of that, i still smell burning clutch when i reverse into a parking spot. The dealer reproduced that smell, but they still refuse to do anything about it. Definitely the last Nissan I buy.

Very Reliable
Slow acceleration and prone to wind
2007 versa hatchback has 130k miles with no major repairs. Will get you from point A to B but with that being said it takes centuries to get to highway speeds. Slow and ugly as it gets but you get what you pay for. It is a reliable car. Also good visibility and easy to maneuver but is very prone to wind 💨
I purchased my car at 160,000 3 years ago and now I'm at about 205,000 since I drive back and forth between school and home often. I just keep up with maintenance and I haven't had any problems, except for my driver's side door handle coming off. Other than that, I've been extremely grateful for my car.
Everything about this vehicle is reliable
Small inside for driver & passenger
I couldn't have been more happy with this purchase! Bought in 2009 and now it's 2023 she's been good, but now repairs are calling. Longevity wise oil changes, brakes minor stuff.I have moved it ALL in my hatchback. You won't be disappointed with this but.
Terrible, bad transmission
I advise never purchase this model the CVT transmissions is the problem. I learn the hard way engine runs good, yet after running hwy. speeds when transmission warms up it will stall at next stop then your in danger trying to go through intersection, transmission will not engage. Only after along time when transmission cools back down its able to engage and drive. Nissan CVT transmissions are known for this problem and have resulted into class action law suits. Google this problem I advise anyone thinking about purchasing this car.

The hanleing on this car is great the mauel 6 speed makes it feel like an actul race car it makes you feel like you gave money even when u dont haha love the car
economical, easy to drive, roomy hatch in the back
rough, choppy ride w/short whlbase, nds Blutooth
Bought the car with 24,000 miles on it. Now, at 90,000 miles the only thing that ever "broke" was the fuel pump about 20,000 miles ago. Gas = 25 city, 30-35 highway. Very comfortable driver seat, but newer models, not so much. No problems. Typical maintenance on wear out parts like shocks, brakes, tires. Tranny is great, engine solid. I use only Mobil 1 Extended Performance and Mobil 1 or other top line filter. Oil changes at 10-13,000 miles. Uses 1 qt between.
Great gas mileage
New exhaust rattles a little, low tire light stays
Has new tires, new exhaust, new battery, new, serpentine belt. I have taken my car to Rockhill S. Carolina, twice a the last 2 months. Very reliable. Body is in great condition, no visible rust, hatchback is nice, you can put belongings in back, and it's not visible.
