Positive Review

"Nissan Rules!"

For the life of me I can't understand why Honda and Toyota have the reputation for being the longest lasting cars on the road. Every Nissan I've ever driven has gone for years and years with no problems at all. My Sentra has 173,000 miles on it and it has never broken down, and still runs perfect. Others I know who drive Nissan have all had similar experiences. These are the cars to drive if you don't want to deal with mechanical problems or costly repairs. If those are your thing, buy an American car.

Critical Review

"Comfortable and Smooth, but Dull"

If you need a car, and you can find yourself a relatively low mileage Sentra, I can't say you shouldn't get one. You'll get a car that's inexpensive to own and operate, yet has really good ride quality. Still, there are some things that irked me about this car. First off, I had an issue with a leak from the outside in. It turns out that whatever glue they used to hold this car together (yes, that's correct) cracked causing a leak which soaked the floor in the back when it rained. Little plastic and rubber parts here and there, especially on the outside, began to fall off or come loose, and one of the back speakers buzzed occasionally. Driving this thing is about as exciting as shopping for socks. The ride quality is good, but it's not going to plow through a turn or accelerate with any urgency. The turning radius on this car is competitive with a house...I couldn't make u-turns to save my life. Also, road noise is atrocious. I found myself cranking up the radio just to hear it going 55 MPH. That being said, if you're looking for something inexpensive that goes A to B, you probably won't find anything that has a better ride.

Family car
Pros

Easy to see out of making it easy to drive.

Cons

Had to get a new electric window door switch because the drivers side window would not shut probably.

Family car past to three family members since bought brand new. Regular oil and tire changes. And no major problems in over 155,000 miles. The spark plugs will be changed for the first time this spring 2025. Car still has an all time fuel mileage average of 31 mpg. and 35 mph. average. After all the miles since new. Recommended 2007 Sentra.

Super reliable
Pros

Great MPG, super reliable, good price

I've had this car since 2017, and its been insanely good. Have had regular maintence on it and have needed no major work done. I've taken it across the country and on extremely long trips (800 miles+) and it's always been super reliable. Great car would definitely recommend.

Great small car
Pros

Comfortable ride for a tall guy. Great accessories

Cons

Difficult navigation sightline barrier/side mirror

Best: I get 32 mpg regularly around town. 38 - 42 mpg on the highway. I'm 6'3" the high ceiling, even with a moon roof is comfortable. Leg room great. Adjustable steering wheel better than others I've had. Truck is roomier than I expected, especially with back seats lowered. Smooth ride. Live the CTS transmission. Very smooth. Downsides: the sideview mirrors are small and oddly shaped. Took a while to get used to and adjust. The blind spot created by the sides of the windshield to the roof is also a barrier you have to adjust to. Though there is a built in navigation systems, updating it is VERY expensive. Haven't used it in years.

"The Limo"
Pros

Handling, reliability, cargo space

Cons

Fuel econ. (29 mpg city), plastic int. surfaces

I bought my Sentra new & drove it proudly for 10 years, with very few problems. It had plenty of power for both city & freeway driving, & even my husband was impressed with the way it handled on mountain roads! Unfortunately, it was recently totaled in an accident, but once again The Limo excelled. The built-in safety features all performed as engineered. I feel very fortunate that my Sentra kept me from injury.

Don’t get it
Pros

Not too many issues occured

Cons

Blower motor location

The blower motor is located in an area where the entire dash would need to be removed to replace it. So instead of paying $150 like in many other cars, you’ll pay $700+ since the dash has to be removed. After replacement, 4 years later it’s having issues again and I don’t want to fork another $700. Mine had plastic hubcaps that chipped and looked ugly and had to take them off.
