What Owners are Saying About the 1999 Nissan Maxima
"Best vehicle ever"
"We love, love this car. Never had a major problem. Change the oil every 2,000 miles with premium oil and the car rides like a "purring kitten". Nothing on the car does not work."
"They don't make them like this any more."
"The 1999 maxima is beyond reliable. I have owned this car since it was new off the lot. It has been an excellent car and has taken relentless punishment day in and day out. Along the way I have had to replace the fuel injectors, starter, axle boots, oxygen sensors, valve cover gaskets , radiator & motor mounts. It is now in need of a front engine cover seal and 6th set of tires (another $1,500). The Bose sound system still sounds great and the car still handles like a car half its age. The reality is I can't replace this cars current performance for anything less than $50k new which is double what I originally paid for it. Her beauty is beginning to fade but I still love her."
"2 decades and still going strong"
"The car was pleasure to drive. Passing power without a turbo. Nice for family car. ABS really helped in the winter! This car had outstanding reliability. Engine/transmission was 100% reliable. Until 2016 just normal maintenance items. In 2016 one of the front struts failed. I was surprised that the car was still driveable. Great design! Owners Manual said Premium gas. Worked fine on Regular. My pet peeve is trunk is one inch too small to fit my extra large suitcase. The limit is the spring mechanism not the trunk itself."
