Positive Review
Let's start with negatives. 1. The wheel covers are VERY cheaply made and have been replaced due to breaking when tires were rotated. 2. A mute button on the steering wheel would be nice. 3. Due to the unique design it attracts stone chips on the front of the vehicle. 4. Nissan dealers never stop trying to oversell, can't stand going there. Thats it. The car has been very reliable, Im 6'4" and 215lbs and have more then enough room, I've been on two trips around the country in "cubert" averaged 34.7 mpg. in everything from West coast traffic to Colorado mountains. I am tired of people with no knowledge of the vehicle, driving there big useless sedans telling me how ugly it is. I tell them it's the future and they drive the past.
Critical Review
We bought this car brand new off the lot and have had nothing but problems. The windsheild collects rock chips like crazy, and the tires actually kick rocks up to the side windows. We've replaced the driver side window twice, repaired 5 rock chips, and are on our second windsheild. The cup holders are placed right in front of the heat vents so your soda is always hot. Also, this "fully loaded" car actually doesnt come with side mirror defrosters.

Reliable, resilient, comfortable, cost effective.

I bought my Cube in 2015 after immediately falling in love with it in a photo in a local for sale ad. It's deceptively roomy, and very comfortable to both drive and be a passenger in. I can't stress enough how resilient the Cube is. I wasn't always diligent with maintenance and oil changes, and in my early 20s I drove that car like I stole it. But not once has it ever given up or had any major mechanical issues. I've had to replace the battery twice, and replace the AC compressor. Even after sitting unused for a year, no issues other than new tires needed, which is entirely my ffault. I love its unique shape, it's like being in a fish bowl. And the trunk opens like a fridge, it's so cute. I love this car so much, I never want to get rid of it. It would be a great first car for a teenager who doesn't mind driving something that looks like a Lego on wheels. Honestly for me that was a big part of the allure at 23 years old!
Excellent car! I never plan to drive anything else. Great gas milage. If your looking for a good all around car, as far as I’m concerned this is it!!! If you need to navigate heavy snow or heavy wind I would advise a different model, but I don’t feel like you can go wrong with a Nissan. Mine is a 2012 with 150,000. Miles No problems at all so far.
Everything
Sometimes Im not in my cube (Im in the cube rn)
The cube has never let me down ever. Nothing ever went wrong with my cube. When i pull up to the function with my cube, everybody says to me, "Wow, this is an excellent looking car." If you're looking for the best car you could ever find, buy the cube.
Decent daily commuter
Transmission died, cost 1/2 the car cost to fix
The car isn't bad for a daily commuter ,but the 1 star comes from a specific problem. The transmission went out at 105k miles and because of the type of transmission it has to be replaced completely.....Which is gonna cost 3-4k. It's apparently a known issue that the tranny goes out around 100k and I was lucky I got to 105k as some had problems at 90k. Got it used too so I really only got about 60kish miles out of it.
Spacious interior.
The gears stick between 1st gear going to 2nd.
Overall, it’s a great car. I can fill it up with only $30. I have a V6 Chrysler 300 sport Which takes about $65 to full. The reason why I’m selling this is because I only have two parking spaces in my care community. I have nowhere to put a third car unfortunately.
Dependable, fun, good on gas and lasts forever.
My model is the SL. Love this car. Rides great, never breaks. Human factor engineering was applied to Every inch of this car. Would buy another if they were still being made. I really wish Nissan would bring them back. I feel like they took them off the market because they don’t make enough money off the parts as they just don’t break down!!
Fun
They quit making them. Collectible!
This little Nissan good around town vehicle as it’s compact yet spacious and fuel efficient! Takes corners quickly!

No longer new in America
In Pittsburgh winters wife needed an AWD in 2015 ( she volunteered to take meals to people _meals on wheels ) so I traded in her 2009 Cube for a 2015 Nissan Rogue, now she has a 2020 Rogue but no longer doing meals on wheels. She often says how she misses her little cube
