Positive Review
The 300zx 2+2 is a great car. Its got an aggressive sound plenty of horse power and lots of torque. The car rides great, and it is very comfortable. the control panels wrap around both sides of the steering wheel and it is very handy. The cabin is quiet, The seats are comfortable, and because of the back seat, there is actually plenty of storage space. Parts for this car can be somewhat expensive and because of the amount of technology crammed into the car in 1990, it is prone to breaking unless you buy a well kept one. Overall, even if you have to work on the car to make it reliable, it is completely worth owning the car.

In contemporary 1990, this car toppled the world and automotive magazines with massive power, sleek styling, superb engineering, and a modern, tasteful interior. The 2nd generation (Z32) 300ZX was internally referred to as Project 901 which stood for 1990-number 1 sports car. Nissan engineers reached this goal with a Ferrari-beating DOHC 3.0-liter twin turbo V6, churning out 300hp and 283 lbft of torque, which could launch the RWD car from 0-60 in 5 seconds flat. Engine aside, the car features 4 wheel steering, sport and touring suspension modes, and a limited slip differential. For all of its performance, the car was lauded as comfortable, with great air conditioning, high-end interior surfaces, a great sound system, and the chairs straight off Picards USS Enterprise-D. Though the goal was to produce the number 1 sports car, the resulting 300ZX TT is acknowledged today as more of a GT car with track handling. The engine was over engineered enough to remain relevant today, and can be modified to produce super car power, while remaining reliable. Many of these cars have been abused or heavily modified. The prices for unmodified examples are beginning to climb, as this car approaches classic status. The 300ZX is reliable, but can be temperamental, especially in TT form. Do not work on this car without doing the research first. The 90s sports car scene is dominated by superbly engineered Japanese cars. Like the 240Z before it, the 300ZX lead the charge of the 1990s sports car revolution.
a blast to drive, upgrades are cheap
no cup holder, no longer manufactured
This started for me when my friend got his 95 for $2000 about a year ago. I was a little skeptical at first, it was a 21 year old sports car, it had to have issues. But it didn't, it ran like a top. it was some much fun to ride in i had to have one, and ever since i purchased mine for a 02 TrialBlazer and $400 cash, i haven't looked back. But when (there is no if about this car) you go to buy yours, keep in mind they are 20+ year old cars, and you can expect some minor issues.be sure to check all of your electronics and gauges. but if you're passionate about cars, want something cheap to make into a baller street car, this is the car for you.
work of art machine
fuel consumption, no cup holder
Fantastic car, fun, strong, solid and far ahead of its time. This car was a childhood dream and its CADD design made it a technological marvel. Was car and Driver's top 10 every year available and car of the year when it first came out in 1990. Recommend looking for 1993 or later as there were some design improvements with added airbags, seat belt relocation and newer style injectors and wiring. If you can find one in good condition, you will not likely lose money on your auto purchase. I have a 1994 convertible of which there are only 850 or so made for that year. Modifications are common and fine, however you will have to be prepared for additional servicing depending on the quality and thoroughness of the changes. The more HP claimed, the greater the risk of repair. Overall fantastic vehicle and highly recommended... compliments always given when I drive :)
fun to drive
none
eye cathing car
Power and stye inside and out. A complete package.
Fuel injectors don't like ethonal on pre1994 model
A styling and technological tour de force! When this vehicle hit showrooms in the fall of 1989 no other car on the planet could come close. Now some 26 years later it still has style and tech that competes with most modern sports cars.
great looks, lots of mods avail,
heavy, lots of maintenace needed
I had a 1994 twin turbo. This was always my dream car growing up and even now it has a timeless look. With the right body kit it doesn't look dated or even classic-just sharp. The HP doesn't hold up to today's sporty cars and this is a very heavy car that doesn't handle well in turns. It also has frequent vacuum leaks and maintenace issues. The engine / turbos really generate a lot of heat. The car also has bad blind spots that take some getting used to. I wouldn't want to drive it in a city. The car is 20 years old so some maintenance issues have to be expected. But this car is still a head turner even today, with straight line quickness, and decent mods available. My engine went but in fairness it was probably around 500 (crank) hp with upgraded mods. This is a car you definitely want to be friendly with a mechanic and a patient one since these aren't the easiest vehicles to work on.
Still turns heads, exceptional performance, fun
Need a mechanic that understands this car
This car has everything I could want in a sports car. Even after 20+ years it's still gives me a thrill when I take it on some back roads here in rural Virginia. The KBB value is around 6-7,000 which IMHO makes is the best deal out there if you're looking for a car that can not only perform but also turn some heads. I'll never get rid of it.
