What Owners are Saying About the 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander
"Solid,reliable transportation"
"My 2004 Outlander is the third in a series of Mitubishi cars I've owned. The first two were bought used and the 2004 Outlander was new. I sold the second one--a 1994 Expo LRV to my Lady Love who has driven it past 220000 miles and loves it. Lots of vision out of big windows with low sills; excellent reliability and ease of driving. The stainless exhaust has shown excellent life, most of the system still original. Other makes take notice!! I find my Outlander to be a delight to drive with solid road grip and good handling. Not a performance king but it gets me there and no complaints, either. The AWD system, like all AWD systems, is mostly a nuisance. It lowers MPG, chews up tires, makes more noise and won't help you when the going is really tough because the vehicle will stop if any wheel spins. But it does help the road feel if you can ignore the tire racket. Go Mitsubishi but avoid AWD and you're in a solid machine!!"
"Love this car!"
"I’ve put so many miles on this car. She’s really been a trooper! After almost 300,000 miles, we’ll be parting ways due to suspension issues. No problems under the hood, no leaks, NEVER left me on the side of the road. I would drive this car another 200,000 if I could do the work myself. I’ve decided to trade her in for a model 15 years younger. Gonna miss her though."
"Great little SUV"
"We bought the Outlander new in 2005. Car has performed flawlessly. Two recalls, but minor in nature. Maintenance is pricy, but dealer gave me 20 year-200,000 no- deductible power train warranty and tires for the life of the car! (up to eight tires) A tad on the small side for a family of four, but for empty nesters, it's a neat little car."
