Positive Review
I bought my 2000 Galant new. I drove it for 10 year and then handed it down to my son to drive. It's never let us down. It did well in the Winter weather as well. We kept the oil changed and replaced tires - that's about it. Getting ready to sell it as it's just sitting now. I was looking at the Camry and the Galant - I got more features for less money with the Galant. Still like Toyota, but the Galant is just as good in my book! I work with someone who has over 300,000 on their Galant.
Critical Review
After driving this car as a college student for over 2 years, this car will last but is not necessarily made for comfort. I'm 6'6" and I can say with confidence that this car was made for people under 6'. The car has practically no trade in value and mine does not kick into overdrive. so it runs at a 3000 RPMs on when going 60 down the road. I would not recommend this car.

I've had my 2003 Galant for almost a year and half. Honestly, this maybe the best car ever. Someone was trying to get rid of it, so my dad called and said if I wanted it. Obviously, I said Yes! Since then, all I had to fix was the top radiator hose and new tires; the rest was just minor exterior fixes. To the person buying their first Galant from 1990-2004, all I recommend is keep up with the oil changes, air filter, and coolant flush (when needed). I guarantee, you keep up with those three, and she will go FAR!!

Poor paint quality
My Mitsubishi has been super reliable! I own my car and have had it for about 6 months now it’s my second car . Its been very well took car of on the inside no problems EVERYTHING WORKS a/c , heat ,radio , windows doors ect the trunk is huge . The only thing I could say bad about it is that the paint they used when making my car is cheap bc the trees around my house r literally slowly messing it up but my car is also pearl white

Getting older
The car serviced us for many years, highly reliable, started all the time, not much mechanical difficulty. Regularly serviced and kept up. Roomy, great trunk space., fold down part of back seat to fit long pieces, including 11 foot length wood.

I purchased this car from a small dealership here in Kentucky with around 210,000 miles on the clock. This was supposed to be just a stop gap between when my Jeep gave a window seat to the number 4 piston and when I could afford to get a new vehicle. Fast forward to now, and 5 years later, I put a little over 50,000 miles on the clock. This car has seen 6 states and multiple 8-10 hour trips without an issue. I hit a deer and found out that this car is relatively easy and cheap to fix. It was only after that accident that I began having issues, from a radiator cracking, to the alternator breaking, and other little issues along the way. The best way to show how reliable this little car is with the 2.4 4G64 is when the belt snapped for the alternator and water pump. It made a 34 mile drive with no water pump or alternator and only ''died'' when the battery gave out right in my driveway. This car has become a family member and even though I've ''replaced it'' I refuse to sell it. It's not in the best shape now as it needs a alternator and new battery, but I know that if I charge the battery, it will still get me where ever I need to go for a day. The styling is actually boring at first compared to cars today, but now, when I look at it...I appreciate it, and have found the front end to be more aggressive with factory black headlights and grill. It rides like a pillow and has more than enough room for 4 people and a full trunk and I've managed to regularly get 34-38 mpg even though it's rated for at most, 28!

Leaking, Cracked Dashboard, Paint fading
The car is okay. Mine has a leaking problem, one of my windows is broken and my paint is chipping. My dashboard is cracking from the sun. This honesty isn’t a dream car and not only mine but lots have problems so don’t even waste your money. You’ll end up having to put more money into it. The only thing that is actually good with the car is the gas. I only fill it once every 2 weeks. It does get me to one place to another but not my first choice.
