Positive Review
Being in my 40's, I have driven and owned quite a few cars. The 2006 eclipse is worth every penny I paid 4 it. It is the 1st year of the new body style, and the adjective most applied 2 the car from friends is "sexy". It is a solid car all around, and very reliable. We have put 180000 miles on it since we purchased the car in late 2005. We have performed all regular maintenance, as needed, and in turn it has performed flawlessly. The main key, as with any vehicle is keep the oil changed, and run high octane fuel. we r looking at a new vehicle, only because we r getting 2 old 2 climb down into a vehicle sitting 6 inches of the ground.
Critical Review
Please take the time to read my review and opinion of my 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse AT transmission. I bought this car pre owned with 17k on it for 16 thousand and some warranty left on it which was not too bad. I did major internet research on car and even rented the convertible which drove great and had decent power. But the hard top 4 cylinder vehicle is built completly different. The power train is the same one they use for the SUV therefore causing it to be very heavy. This car rolls back 5 miles and hour on the slightest of hills. I have brought it to service and they said it's totally normal for my car which is bottom of the line. The engine is loud and makes noise as if I owned it for 12 years. The car has absolutely NO POWER and struggles really hard especially during it's first acceleration after a stop sign. When I test drove the car there was really no way for me to tell all of this and I did by the car in a hurry because of work circumstances. The interior is like I child designed it. It's literally a Barbie or Ken car perfect for a 16 year old child. Again the body looks great and I get completments left and right. The Mitsubishi mechanics even had a very low opinion of the 4 cylinder 2012 Eclipse. They said that the engine is not designed to carry the car and ITS SO FREKKIN true. I regret buying this car and now I am married to it for the next 5 years and can't trade it in for something of similar value because the car HAS NO VALUE! it's now worth $12,000 and i bought it for $16,000. Get a Scion TC or Honda Civic or at least a V6 Eclipse. DO NOT get the 4 cylinder. The gas mileage is absolutely horrendous. Mitsubishi did a AWFUL job with this car. And ps. the blind spots are out of this world. I almost hit cars all the times. Key point. Extend your side mirrors farthest out as they can go! If you are short in height this car is for you as i am 5'10.

This is a 2011 Mitsubishi eclipse GT 32,000 miles in perfect shape no accidents or scratches 4 new tires this year
CAR GOOD. WHAT MORE CAN BE SAID? I’LL SAY MORE SINCE I HAVE TO REACH THE WORD LIMIT. ASIDE FROM ITS BLINDSPOTS AND VERY LIMITED REAR SEAT ROOM, IT’S A GOOD CAR. FAIRLY RELIABLE AND LASTS A LONG TIME (150-250K MI) WHEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. COSTS OF MAINTENANCE IS PRETTY DECENT, IT’S NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL COMPARED TO OTHER CARS, ESPECIALLY SPORTS CARS. TRUST ME, WHEN I SAY THIS, IT’LL TURN HEADS. IT’S A NICE LOOKING RARE CAR THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE HAVE SEEN, SO IT GARNERS ATTENTION. PEOPLE LOOKED AT MY ECLIPSE MORE THAN MY MUSTANG SINCE MUSTANGS ARE COMMON TO SEE. I UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO SELL MINE DUE TO AN ACCIDENT THAT DAMAGED SOME OF THE FRAME AND HIGH MILEAGE (OVER 189K MI).
Fun to drive
Seating in back seat, but still doable
This car is an absolute dream. I never one time had any problems. At 200k she still runs like a top. Excellent power, quick turns, comfortable seating. I'm buying a 2012 today they are such good cars! Gas mileage is good, handling is great. You can stop on a dime! Overall favorite car of a lifetime!!

I've owned 3 of these over a span of 14 years so I have a lot of experience with them. All models (GS, GT, Coupes/Spyders) are very reliable and are still relevant in terms of great looks and decent performance. The 650 watt sound system is incredible. I made the mistake of trading my prior models and have now gone back and purchased a 2012 Spyder GT with low miles. I feel very fortunate and I am extremely happy once again. If you want a sexy car that does it all and will never let you down, this is the one.

There is a reason I keep coming back. I've owned 3 of them and I am about to purchase my 4th. I regretted trading my 2 beautiful GTs for a C7. Why? Fun factor without worry. Best bang for the buck cars I have ever owned. They are reliable and beautiful. This will be my 2nd GT Spyder. I also owned a GT coupe and a GS. (The GS was my commuter car for 10 years. ) I can't wait to polish this rave red beauty up and drop the top with the 650 watt Rockford Fosgate blasting my favorite tunes. At night, the ice blue led interior lighting is awesome and makes evenings even more fun. Everything inside the car feels right and it is comfortable. Throttle respise is really nice and GTs are adequately powered with some aftermarket availability. I've had some of the best times of my life in these cars and will continue to do so very soon. Anyone who is looking, find a nice one and then enjoy this simple yet awesome little car.
