For an MSRP of almost 70K (4WD 2500 Cargo) i feel like I got robbed. Figured a Mercedes means quality, wrong!! There are many things I love about the van, but for the price, they sure did everything as cheap as they could. In 9K miles I've had it into the shop twice. Nothing major, but irritating stuff. The back-up camera just stopped working one day. They needed to put new software in. The trailer lights don't work. They are still trying to figure that one out. They have more new software coming. The plastic buttons that cover screws fall out and get lost. The rubber gasket on the sliding door window came lose. Ordered another one that took 3 months to get and by the time I drove home it was gone again. The most irritating issue is a squeak in the steering. They've replace bearings and what else and the squeak comes back a day after they think they fixed it. The quality is not worth the price and at this time would not recommend it to anyone. Not when you pay at least 10K to 15K more than a Ford Transit. The other issue, every time they work on it with the cheap plastic and clips, it never goes back together as well and the their are new noises, squeaks, and creaks probably because the plastics are only meant to be put together once.

We have employed over 15 Sprinter vans in our fleet over the past 10 years, the latest generation of Sprinters built around 2022 - 2024 are some of the absolute worst and most expensive vans ever built, even brand new they have serious reliability issues that lead to extensive downtime which is made worst by MB absolutely horrible costumer service and service center efficiency, prepare for your brand new van to be 2 or 3 weeks at a shop before its even looked at, then several weeks for parts to come in and if and when the parts come in, add more time for the actual repair. Among the issues with our newer vans: sliding doors that shut closed and could not be opened (3 weeks downtime), one year old van with 20,000 miles needed new pads and rotors ($1500 fix !), Multiple check engine lights that cannot be remedied, leaks from the rear AC units, etc. If you absolutely rely on your vehicle to make a living, get another van, anything but a sprinter.
My ford vans are far better vehicles for work. These things are complicated and very expensive to maintain. They work great when they work when they break they are a complicated expensive nightmare

Solid build quality, 20K mi maintenance interval
Steep service bill, but justified by ride quality
Purchased 144' cargo Sprinter 4cyl in 12/2015. 85,000 miles no problems. Just added 170" crew 6cyl 4 months ago 12/2022. Got 19 mph from Phila to MI returning home from purchasing it. It rode great , is upgraded with many options and only change for me taking two parking spaces instead of one.
Great!
